Abstract

Osmanlı minyatür sanatı, Orta Asya'dan Anadolu'ya asırlardır devamlılığı sürdürmüş bir gelenektir. Minyatür şüphesiz, üretildiği dönemin birçok verisini bünyesinde barındıran en net belgelerdir. İncelenen eser, Koca Sinan Paşa'nın Yemen ve Tunus seferlerini konu almaktadır. Dolayısıyla söz konusu seferlerin en net belgeleri, incelenen eserin minyatürleri olmuştur. Bu bilgiler doğrultusunda, Osmanlı Devleti'nde 16. yüzyılın en önemli belgelerinden olan Tarih-i Feth-i Yemen'in 88 konu başlığı altındaki 107 minyatürü inceleme konusu olmuştur. Araştırmanın ilk aşamasında, konuyla ilgili kaynaklar tespit edilmiştir. Daha sonra söz konusu eserin minyatürleri, İstanbul Üniversitesi Nadir Eserler Kütüphanesi'nden temin edilmiştir. Çalışma aşamasında ilk olarak Osmanlı minyatür sanatının genel hatlarından bahsedilmiştir. Bir sonraki süreçte yazma eserin özelliklerine değinilmiştir. İncelenen minyatürler katalog başlığı altında tanımlanmıştır. Değerlendirme bölümünde minyatürlerin konuları, kompozisyon özellikleri, kompozisyonu oluşturan unsurları irdelenmiştir.

Ottoman miniature art is a tradition that has preserved its existence for centuries from Central Asia to Anatolia. Miniature is undoubtedly the clearest document to include many of the data from the period in which it was produced. The art piece studied in this thesis cover Koca Sinan Pasa's military expeditions to Yemen and Tunisia. Therefore, the most clear documents of the mentioned expeditions are the miniatures of the studied piece. In accordance with this information, 107 miniatures have been examined under 88 different titles of the Tarih-i Feth-i Yemen, one of the most important documents of 16th century in the Ottoman Empire. In the first phase of the research, relevant resources were identified. Later on, miniatures of the mentioned art piece were obtained from the Rare Books Library of Istanbul University. At the beginning of the theses, general details of Ottoman miniature art have been examined. In the next chapter, characteristics of the manuscript have been discussed. The miniatures studied in the current thesis are listed under the catalog title. In the evaluation part of the thesis, the context of miniatures, composition characteristics, and components of composition are examined.
