The Purpose of This Resarch That Is Named Cyprus in Cumhuriyet Newspaper as Asoure for Historical Research After 1950, Is To Try To Discuss and Analyze the Reflections Especially in the Years Between 1974-1980

Abstract

Tarih Araştırmalarına Kaynak Olarak Cumhuriyet Gazetesinde Kıbrıs (1974?1980) adlı bu çalışmamızda 1950 yılından sonra Türkiye gündeminde önemli bir tutan Kıbrıs Sorununun Cumhuriyet Gazetesinde özelikle 1974-1980 yıllarındaki yansımalarını bilimsel bir yaklaşımla ele almaya çalıştık.Bu çalışma giriş, iki ana bölüm ve sonuç kısımlarından oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde Cumhuriyet Gazetesinin tarihi ve Kıbrıs Sorunu'nun temellerini oluşturan proplemleri ortaya koymak amacıyla 1980 yılına kadar Kıbrıs tarihi genel olarak ele alınmıştır.Birinci bölümde asıl konumuzu oluşturan ?Cumhuriyet Gazetesi?nin Kıbrıs ile ilgili 1974-1980 yılları arasında yayınlanan haberleri gün, ay ve yıl olarak özetlenmiştir.İkinci Bölümde adı geçen gazetede aynı tarihlerde yer alan Kıbrıs konusu ile ilgili köşe yazıları ve ropörtajlar incelenerek özetlenmiştir.Sonuç bölümünde ise Kıbrıs sorunu ile ilgili Cumhuriyet Gazetesinde çıkan haber ve köşe yazılarının, genel bir değerlendirmesi yapılarak, gazetenin Kıbrıs sorununa yakşımı ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır.

The purpose of this resarch that is named Cyprus in Cumhuriyet Newspaper as asoure for historical research after 1950, is to try to discuss and analyze the reflections especially in the years between 1974-1980 of Cyprus which has occupied an important place in Turkey?s political life on the Cumhuriyet Newspaper in a scientific approach.This research consists of two main parts and conclusion part. The introductory chapter deals with the historical backgraunds of Cyprus and Cyprus issue prelude until 1980.The news about Cyprus on national press betwcen 1954 and 1974, namely ?Cumhuriyet? Newspaper forms main part of our objects first part , the news on the issue in those daily national newspaper is classified and summarized on daily and annual grounds.The second part, deals mainly with the comments and reportings written by prominent columnists of this newspaper.Their reportings and comments on the issue are summarized with lengthy excerpts.In the last part, the general approaches and perspectives of the Cumhuriyet Newspaper on the issue are appraised and interprected.
