Ornithofauna of Sarimehmet Dam (van)

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı Sarımehmet Barajı'nda görülen kuş türlerinin varlığını ortaya çıkarmaktı. 12 ay süren arazi çalışmaları sonucunda 15 takım (Ordo) içerisinde yer alan 31 familyaya (Familia) ait 89 kuş tespit edilmiştir. Belirlenen bu kuşlardan 88'i tür (Species) ve 1'i alttür (Subspecies) düzeyindedir. IUCN kriterlerine göre alanda varlığı belirlenen kuş türlerinin statüleri; 1 Endangered (EN), 3 Near Threatened (NT), 80 Least Concern (LC), 2 Vulnerable (VU) ve 2 tür kapsamda değildir. BERN kriterlerine göre 60 tür Ek liste II içinde, 23 tür Ek liste III içinde ve 6 tür ise liste kapsamına girmemektedir. Biyolojik materyallerin ticaret kurallarını belirleyen CITES'e göre tespit edilen türlerin 10'u Ek liste II içinde yer alırken, geriye kalan 79 tür listenin kapsamı dışındadır. Alanda yaşayan kuş türlerinin Bölge Statüsü durumu incelendiğinde 2 türün Kış Ziyaretçisi (KZ), 8 türün Transit (T), 34 türün Yerli (Y) ve 45 türün ise Yaz Ziyaretçisi (YZ) olduğu görüldü. Yerli ve Yaz Ziyaretçi türleri araştırma alanında veya çevresinde üreyen türlerdir. Bu durumda 78 tür Sarımehmet Barajı ve çevresinde üremektedir. Bu sayı gözlenen türlerin %87'sini teşkil etmektedir. Bu sonuç Sarımehmet Baraj Gölü ve çevresinin kuş türlerinin üremesi bakımından önemini açıkça ortaya koymaktadır. The purpose of this research was to reveal the existences of the bird species which were identified in Sarımehmet Dam. After 12 months researches; 89 birds which belong to 31 families in 15 teams were detected. 88 of them are at a level of species and one of them is subspecies. According to the IUCN Criterias, the Statues of the classified birds' species are: 1 Endangered (EN). 3 Near Threateneds (NT), 2 Vulnerable (VU), 80 Least Concerns (LC) and 1 kind is not in the extent. 60 species are in the Additional List II. 23 species are in the Additional List III and 6 more species are not included in any scope according to the BERN Criterias. Again according to the CITES which determines the Trade Rules, while 10 of the Species which are detected in the Additioanl List II, remained 79 species are not included in the scope. When Territory Statuses situtation are examined of the bird species which are living in the territory, two species are winter visitors (WV), 8 species are transit (T) 34 species are native and 45 species summer visitors (SV) are seen. Native and Summer Visitor Species are the species which breed around or in the research area. In that case, 78 species are breeding around and in the Sarımehmet Dam. This Number constitutes %'87 of the observed birds. This Result presents the importance of the Sarımehmet Dam and surrounding clearly in case of the birds' breeding.
