Abstract
Özel yetenekli öğrencilerin BİLSEM'e erişim ve ulaşımda farklı kaynaklardan dolayı güçlükler yaşadıkları kuvvetle muhtemeldir. Özel yetenekli öğrencilerin BİLSEM'e erişim durumunu incelemek, bu öğrencilerin nitelikli eğitime tam katılımını engelleyen sorunları belirlemek ve bu sorunlara çözüm üretmek açısından önemlidir. Ayrıca, literatüre bakıldığında Türkiye'de bu konuya ilişkin bilimsel çalışmaların sınırlı olduğu görülmektedir. Bu nedenle, özel yetenekli öğrencilerin BİLSEM'e erişim ve ulaşım durumu bu araştırmada merak konusu olmuştur. Dolayısıyla, bu araştırmanın amacı, özel yetenekli öğrencilerin BİLSEM'e erişim ve ulaşım durumlarına, karşılaştıkları sorunlara ve çözüm önerilerine yönelik bir durum tespiti yapmaktır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yönteminden hareketle fenomenolijik desen tercih edilmiştir. Araştırma Van illinde bulunan BİLSEM'lerde yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu bu merkezlerde okuyan 20 öğrencinden oluşmaktadır. Araştırma verileri yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği ile toplanmıştır. Araştırma verileri betimsel analiz tekniğinden hareketle analiz edilmiş ve sunulmuştur. Araştırmada BİLSEM merkezlerine erişimde en sık karşılaşılan güçlüklerin başında toplu taşıma sorunu, özel araç eksikliği, yetersiz yürüyüş yolları, BİLSEM'lerin konumu ve uzaklığı, servis sorunu ve bisiklet yolu sorunu gibi faktörlerin geldiği belirlenmiştir. Bu engellerin özellikle kırsal bölgelerde veya şehir merkezlerine uzak yerleşim yerlerinde yaşayan öğrenciler için daha belirgin olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmada ulaşılan bir diğer sonuç, BİLSEM'e devam eden öğrencilerin çoğunluğunun erişimi özel araçla yaptığıdır; bu durumda öğrencilerin bilim sanat merkezlerine erişiminde sosyo ekonomi faktörünün ön plana çıktığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Tez, bu engellerin öğrencilerin BİLSEM programlarına katılımını nasıl etkilediğini ve eğitim fırsatlarındaki eşitsizlikleri nasıl artırdığını detaylı bir şekilde inceler. Araştırmda özel yetenekli öğrencilerin BİLSEM'e erişimde önemli güçlükler yaşadıkları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Araştırmada BİLSEM'lere erişim konusunda geniş çaplı önlemler alınmasına, illerde araştırma yapacaklara ve eğitimcilere yönelik birkaç öneride bulunmuştur. It is highly likely that gifted students have difficulties in accessing and transporting BİLSEM due to different sources. Examining the access status of gifted students to BİLSEM is important in terms of identifying the problems that prevent these students from fully participating in qualified education and finding solutions to these problems. Additionally, when we look at the literature, it can be seen that scientific studies on this subject are limited in Turkey. For this reason, the access and transportation status of specially talented students to BİLSEM was a matter of curiosity in this research. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to determine the situation of gifted students' access and transportation to BİLSEM, the problems they encounter and solution suggestions. Phenomenological design was preferred in the research, based on the qualitative research method. The research was conducted in BİLSEMs in Van province. The study group of the research consists of 20 students studying in these centers. Research data was collected using semi-structured interview technique. Research data were analyzed and presented using the descriptive analysis technique. In the research, it was determined that the most common difficulties in accessing BİLSEM centers were public transportation problems, lack of private vehicles, inadequate walking paths, location and distance of BİLSEMs, service problems and bicycle path problems. It has been determined that these obstacles are especially more evident for students living in rural areas or settlements far from city centers. Another result of the research is that the majority of students attending BİLSEM access by private vehicle; In this case, it has been revealed that the socio-economic factor comes to the fore in students' access to science and art centers. The thesis examines in detail how these barriers affect students' participation in BİLSEM programs and increase inequalities in educational opportunities. The research concluded that gifted students had significant difficulties in accessing BİLSEM. In the research, he made several suggestions for comprehensive measures to be taken regarding access to BİLSEMs, and for those who will conduct research in the provinces and for educators.
