Modernist Elements İn Adalet Ağaoğlu's Novels

Abstract

Batı dünyasında özellikle 16. yüzyıldan itibaren sosyal, ekonomik, politik, bilimsel, kültürel, endüstri yönünden birçok köklü değişim yaşanır. Bu değişim sürecinin düşünsel yönünü ifade eden modernizm, edebiyat dünyasına da etki eder. Batı edebiyatında yaşanan değişimlerin etkileri, Türk edebiyatına da yansır. Adalet Ağaoğlu, modernist yönü öne çıkan bir yazardır. Modernist unsurların hangi yönlerden Ağaoğlu romanlarında yer aldığı, tezde ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Yazarın bütün romanları; izlek ve yapı-kurgu yönünden yalnızca modernist etki gösteren unsurlar açısından tezin kapsamındadır.Bir bütün olarak sanatta yaşanan modernist etkinin anlaşılması amacıyla öncelikle modern, modernite, modernizm kavramları ve bu kavramların zihinsel etkisiyle oluşan modernist edebiyat formu, genel hatlarıyla tanıtılacaktır. Literatür taramasıyla Adalet Ağaoğlu'nun bütün romanları incelenerek modernizmin bu romanlara hangi yönlerden yansıdığı ortaya konulacaktır. Kronikleşmiş bireysel ve toplumsal sorunları romanlarına dâhil eden Ağaoğlu, modernizm atmosferini romanlarında canlı tutarak modernist teknikleri kullanır. Yazar,modernitenin toplumda ve bireyde yarattığı tahribatı, birçok izleği yapı-kurgu unsurunu birbiriyle bağlantılı bir biçimde modernist bir anlayışla ortaya koyar. Bu yönüyle Adalet Ağaoğlu, geleneksel roman yazma tarzını aşan ve üslup arayışı devam eden bir yazardır. From the 16th century onwards, the concept of social, economic, political, scientific, cultural and industrial changes has taken place in the Western world. Modernism, which expresses the intellectual aspect of this process of change, affects the world of literature. The effects of the changes in Western literature are also seen in Turkish literature. Adalet Ağaoğlu is a modernist writer. The ways in which modernist elements take place in Ağaoğlu novels constitute the aim of the thesis. All his novels; The course covers only modernist elements in terms of narrative techniques and structure-fiction. In order to understand the modernist influence in art as a whole, first of all, the concepts of modern, modernity, modernism and the form of modernist literature formed by the mental influence of these concepts will be introduced in general terms.With the literature review, all the novels of Adalet Ağaoğlu will be examined and in which ways modernism is reflected in these novels will be revealed. Ağaoğlu incorporates chronicized individual and social problems in his novels and uses modernist techniques by keeping the atmosphere of modernism alive in his novels. The author reveals the destruction of modernity in society and the individual, and many traces in a connected way with a modernist understanding. In this respect, Adalet Ağaoğlu is a writer who transcends traditional style of novel and continues her search for style.
