The Politicalstructure of Tulunids

Abstract

Siyasî buhranlar içinde çalkalanan Abbasî Devleti'nde Halife Mu'tasım (H. 218?228/M. 833?842) döneminden itibaren Türk komutanlarının siyasî arenada büyük bir rol alması ileride kurulacak Türk devletlerinin habercisi olmaya başlamıştır. IX. yy'dan itibaren İslâm dünyasında meydana gelen bu siyasî mücadeleler hilafet merkezi olan Abbasî Devleti'ni olumsuz etkilemiştir. Nitekim H.254/M. 868 yılında Ahmet b. Tolun (H. 220?270/M. 835?884) önderliğinde Mısır'da kurulan Tolunoğulları Devleti kısa sürede bağımsızlığını kazanarak bölgede önemli bir güç haline geldi. Ahmet b. Tolun'dan sonra başa geçen oğulları döneminde istikrar sağlanamayınca devlet H. 292/M. 905 yılında tekrar Abbasî topraklarına dâhil oldu. Tolunoğuları Devleti kurduğu güçlü siyasî otorite ile kendinden sonra kurulacak Türk devletleri için çok önemli bir örnek oldu.

After the period of Caliph Mutasım(A.D. 833-842), Turkish leaders of Abbasid state, and this stuation was the first clues of Turkish states which would be structed at later period. This means that Turkish governments which were founded at later periods started to be a courier. Abbasids which was a century of caliphate was affected negatively while these political struggles were happened in Muslim world since IX. century. Thus, Tulunids government which had its independence in a short period of time, was founded by leading Ahmet b. Tulun (A.D. 835-884) in A.D. 868, so that the Tulunids had come to a power in this region. After Ahmet b. Tulun, his sons took the head of Tulunids but in sons? period, there was no stability so that this ground was included to the Abbasids again in A.D. 905. Tulunids were an important example of the Turkish governments which was going to be founded after itself by constructing powerful political authority.
