The Effect of Empowerment on Work Engagement and the Effect of Job Embeddedness on New Product Development Performance: a Study of the 4 and 5 Star Hotel Employees in Van

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, personel güçlendirme, işe bağlılık, işe gömülmüşlük ve yeni ürün geliştirme arasındaki ilişkiyi analiz etmektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini Van ilinde faaliyet gösteren 4 ve 5 yıldızlı konaklama işletmeleri oluşturmaktadır (n=300). Bu bağlamda söz konusu çalışanlar ile yapılan, dört ölçekten oluşan, anket çalışması yoluyla elde edilen veriler SPSS programı ile analiz edilerek; faktör analizi, regresyon ve korelasyon analizleri yardımıyla değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucuna göre, personel güçlendirme, işe bağlılık, işe gömülmüşlük, arasında pozitif bir etkiye sahip olduğu saptanmıştır. Son olarak araştırmanın bazı kısıtları olduğu belirtilmiş ve gelecekte yapılacak olan araştırmalara yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur. The sample of the research consists of 5 and 4 star accommodation sectors operating in Van province (n = 300). In this context, the data obtained from the questionnaire which consisted of four scales with the said employees were analyzed with SPSS program; factor analysis, regression and correlation analysis. According to the results of the research, it has been found to have a positive effect between empowerment, commitment, job embeddedness. Finally, it has been stated that the study has some limitations and suggestions for future research are presented.
