The Effects Activities Related With the Primary School’s Second Part, Over Teaching Algebra Subjects

Abstract

Ülkemizde öğretim açısından, öğrencilerimizin istenilen seviyede olmadıkları yapılan araştırmalar sonucunda ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu durum ise geleneksel programın ihtiyaçlara cevap vermemesinden kaynaklanmaktadır. Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'nın eğitimde yenileme çalışmaları sonucunda 2005 ? 2006 eğitim ? öğretim yılının ilköğretim birinci kademesinde yeni programın uygulanmasına başlanmıştır. Yeni programın ilköğretimin ikinci kademesinde uygulanmasına ise 2006 ? 2007 eğitim ? öğretim yılında başlanmıştır.Bu çalışma, Van'ın merkez ilçesindeki 10 okulda 2008 ? 2009 eğitim ? öğretim yılında uygulaması bulunan matematik programının 7. sınıf cebir alanındaki tam sayılar, rasyonel sayılar, cebirsel ifadeler ve bir bilinmeyenli denklemler konularının öğretilmesinde kullanılan etkinliklerin uygulanmasında karşılaşılan eksiklikleri ve kalıcılığını araştırmak amacı ile yapılmıştır.Çalışma 6 bölümden oluşmaktadır. Van'ın merkez ilçesindeki 10 okuldan birer 7. sınıf şubesi rastgele seçilmiştir. Araştırma için ?örnek olay? yöntemi seçilmiştir. Bu araştırma 320 öğrenci üzerinde uygulanmıştır. Veri toplamak amacıyla her konu için başarı testi hazırlanmıştır. Konular işlendikçe ön-testler uygulanmıştır. Bununla birlikte son ? testler ise ön ? testlerden 3 hafta sonra yapılmıştır. Yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat, uzman görüşleri alınarak öğretmenlere uygulanmıştır. Ayrıcaöğrenci ürün dosyaları da toplanarak yorumlara katılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS. 11.5'te t, F testleri ve yüzde ile değerlendirilmiştir.Araştırmada elde edilen verilerden hareketle yeni programı destekleyen ve programın gelişmesine katkı sağlayacağı düşünülen öneriler sunulmuştur. Sonuçların ve önerilerin yeni eğitim sistemine ve diğer çalışmalara yardımcı olacağı düşünülmektedir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Cebir, İlköğretim matematik programı, Matematik eğitimi.

In our country it comes to light from research results that students are not at the level which is required by the education view. This result arise from the traditional education program which doesn?t answer the needs of students. Ministry of education, after the renovation of education, new program started to be implemented at the first part of primary education system in 2005 ? 2006 education year. But, the implementation of the new program at the second part of the primary education was started in 2006 ? 2007 education year.This study was made in van city centre at 10 different schools which have the 2008 ? 2009 education year 7th grade student?s mathematician program which consists of teaching of integers, rational numbers, algebraic terms, subjects of one indeterminate equations. This research was implemented to see the indefiency during the application of study and permanency of activities.This study consists of 6 parts. 7 grade students from 10 different schools were selected in the city centre of van randomly. This research was made on 320 students. Achievement tests were prepared to collect data which is suitable fort the aim for our study. Before the lessons were given, pre-tests were given, however, post-tests were given 3 weeks after the pre-tests. After getting advice of an expert, short question are was given to the teachers. In addition, they were added to comments by collecting students portfolio. The results were assessed at SPSS 11?5 with, t, F tests and in percentage.With the help of the results of the study, new advice was given as it was thought that it would enhance the development of the system and support the the system. It is thought that results and advice will help new education system and other studies.Key Words: Algebra, Primary school maths program, Teaching of maths.
