Cemil Meriç And 'Education'

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, 'Cemil' Meriç'in -görüşleri- ve pratikteki uygulamaları doğrultusunda- eğitim düşüncesi incelenmiştir.Cemil Meriç'm eğitim düşüncesini açığa çıkarmak amacıyla; öncelikle hayatı, eserleri, misyonu, metodolojisi» üslûbu, ilginç tespitleri, kişiliği ve çağdaş dünyayı şekillendiren temel kavramlarla ilgili yaklaşımları üzerinde duruldu. Sonra Cemil Meriç'in eğitim düşüncesi ele alındı.Cemil Meriç, Doğu'yu. ve Batı'yı insan beyninin iki yarım küresi olarak., gören Avrasyah bir şahsiyet olduğundan, önerdiği eğitim sistemi pek tabiî olarak 'kozmopolit eğitmedir. Cemil Meriç'in bu eğitim sistemiyle takip ettiği maksadı; dünya edebiyatım ve dünya düşüncesini kucaklayacak aydın insanların yetişmesidir. Bunun için yetişecek yeni nesillerin kendi dilini, dînini tarihini, geleneğini... kısaca kendi kültürünü öğrenmekle beraber, yabancı dili (özellikle bir Batı dili) ve yabancı eserleri ihmal etmemesi gerektiğini vurgular.Cemil Meriç yazar ve düşünür olmakla beraber, aynı zamanda bir öğretmen de olduğundan, onun görüşleriyle birlikte öğretmenlik uygulamalarına da yer verildi. Bu uygulamalarında, eğitim - öğretim alanındaki sorunlarımıza pratik çözümler getirecek güzel örnekler yer almaktadır.Hayatım Türk irfanına adayan münzevi (yalnız) ve mütecessis (araştırıcı) 'bir fikir işçisi olan Cemil Meriç'e göre; yetişmesini istediği aydın nesiller, gerek toplumumuzun yeniden yapılanmasında gerekse dünyadaki barışın, huzurun sağlanmasında en önemli yapı taşı olacaklardır.

Then; his thought about education is dealt with.Due to the fect that Cemil Meriç is a character from Eurasia who considers East and West astwo paıts of brain ofhuman, the education system that he proposed is, of cource, Cosmopoütan Education.' Cemil:--Meriç's-aim with this education system is to bring up intellectual men who accept the literatüre and the idea of worid. For this reason; Cemil Meriç emphasizes that it is necessary that the new gencrations which will grow up should learn their own language, rcligion, history, tradition, in short their own cuhure and simultaneously thcy should not neglect a foreign-language (especially a language from west) and fbreign work&.Bccause of the fect that Cemil Meriç is both an auther and a thinker, and at the same time he Is a teacher; teaching practices are placed with his opinion.
