Study of Risk Factors To Effect for Convulsion With Cerebral Palsy Children by Using Logistic Regression Analysis
Abstract
Yıldız Ö, Serebral palsili çocuklarda konvülsiyonu etkileyen risk faktörlerinin logistik regresyon ile incelenmesi, Y.Y.Ü. Sağlık Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Biyoistatistik Anabilim Dalı Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Van, 2011.Logistik regresyon analizi sağlık alanındaki çalışmalarda yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu analiz yöntemi, cevap değişkeninin ikili yada dikotom, açıklayıcı değişkenlerin ise nümerik yada nominal olduğu durumlarda modeldeki değişkenlere ait parametre tahmini yapmaktadır. Konvülsiyona neden olabilecek risk faktörlerinin belirlenmesi, zamanında tedaviye başlanması açısından önemlidir. Bu çalışmada serebral palsili çocuklarda konvülsiyonu etkileyebilecek risk faktörleri ve etkileri incelenmiştir. Sonuçta, cinsiyet, doğum şekli, topografik tutulum ve mental retardasyon değişkenleri önemli risk faktörü olarak bulunmuştur.

This analysis technique is used to estimate parameters of variables in the model, when dependent variable is binary or dichotomous and independent variables are nominal or numerical. Determination of risk factor caused to convulsion is important for beginning to treatment in time. In this study, risk factors for convulsion in cerebral palsy children were studied. As a result, ?sex?, ?delivery mode?, ?topographical paralysis? and ?mental retardation? variables were found as statistically significant risk factors for convulsion.
