Thematic review of Necip Mahfuz's work named Ahlâmu Fetrati'n-Nekähe
Abstract
Necîb Mahfûz, Nobel Edebiyat Ödülünü kazanan ilk Arap yazar olarak bilinmektedir. Kaleme aldığı birçok çalışması, söz konusu ödül sonrası başta Türkçe olmak üzere birçok dile çevrilmiş ve akademi camiasında kayda değer bir ilgi görmüştür. Bu çalışmada yazarın yaşarken yayımlanan son eseri olan 'Aḥlâmu Fetrat'in Neḳâhe' adlı eseri tematik açıdan incelenmiştir. Necîb Mahfûz'un yaklaşık olarak 230 rüyayı anlatan bu eserde somut ve soyut temaları tespit edilip değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma; giriş, iki bölüm ve sonuç kısmından oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde Mısırda Modern Arap Edebiyatının ortaya çıkışı ve bu edebiyatın belli başlı yazarlarından kısaca bahsedilmiştir. Birinci bölümde Necîb Mahfûz'un hayatı, edebî kişiliği, eserleri ve Türkiye'de onunla ilgili yapılan bazı tezler hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde ise yazarın mezkûr eserinde somut ve soyut olan bazı temalar detaylı bir şekilde incelenmiştir. Çalışmada, yazarın sekans addedilebilecek bu rüyaların arkasında amaçladığı olası mesajları ve bu mesajların rüyalarla ne denli ilişkisinin bulunduğu hususuna da zaman zaman değinilmiştir.
Necip Mahfuz is known as the first Arab writer to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature. Many of his works were translated into many languages, especially Turkey, after the award and drew intense interest in the academic community. In this study, the author's last work published during his lifetime, 'Ahlâmu Fetratin Nekâha', was examined thematically. In this work, which describes approximately 230 dreams, concrete and abstract themes were identified and evaluated. The study consists of an introduction, two chapters and a conclusion. In the introduction section, the emergence of Modern Arabic Literature in Egypt and the main authors of this literature are briefly mentioned. In the first chapter, it is mentioned of Necîb Mahfûz's life, literary personality,works and some theses written about him in Turkey . In the second part, some concrete and abstract themes in the author's work are analysed in detail.In the study, the possible messages that the author intended behind these dreams, which can be considered as sequences, and the relationship between these messages and the dreams are also mentioned from time to time.
