Studies on the Pottery of Diyarbakır-Bismil (South 0f Dicle) Survey

Abstract

Çalışma konumuzu Prof. Dr. Veli Sevin'in 1986-1992 yılları arasındaDiyarbakır-Bismil bölgesinde yapmış olduğu yüzey araştırmasında Dicle'ningüneyinde tespit etmiş olduğu merkezlerden toplanan çanak çömlek malzemesinindeğerlendirmesi oluşturur.Çalışma alanımızı oluşturan bölgenin coğrafi yapısı ve sınırları araştırılmış,bölgede daha önce yapılan araştırmaların tarihçesi verilmiştir. Merkezlerimizinkatalogu oluşturulmuştur. Bu 20 merkezden toplanan çanak çömlekler KalkolitikÇağ, İlk Tunç Çağı, İlk Tunç Çağı-Orta Tunç Çağı Geçiş Dönemi, Orta Tunç Çağı,Son Tunç Çağı ve Demir Çağı'na tarihlendirilmiştir. Her dönem malzemesi kendiiçinde mal gruplarına ayrılmıştır. Çanak çömleklerin tipolojileri yapılarak diğermerkezlerdeki paralelleri bulunmuştur. Her dönemin değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır.Sonuçta ise istatistik veriler değerlendirilmiş ve dönemler kronolojik sistemdeincelenmiştir.Çalışmamız sonucunda incelediğimiz merkezlerin yüzeysel de olsatabakalaşması ortaya çıkarılmış ve çanak çömlek malzemesi değerlendirilmiştir.

Our study subject consists of an elavation of pottery which were collected fromsome sites in the South of Tigris and which Prof. Dr. Veli Sevin did between 1986-1992 in Diyarbakır-Bismil region as a survey reserch.The geographic situation and borders of this region which constructs our studyframe has been searched and which previous historical researches made in the regionhas been given. The catalogues of sites have been created. These pots collected from20 sites have been dated to Chalcolithic Period, Early Bronze Age, transation EarlyBronze to Middle Bronze Age, Late Bronze Age and Iron Age. Each periodsmaterials has been diveded to propetery group in itself. The classification of pots hasbeen made and their paralells from near centers. Each period evaluation has beendone. Finally, statistical data has been evaluated and the periods have been examinedcarefully in chronological system.At the end of our study the stratigraphy of the sites which we examined has beensorted out at least superficially and the pottery have been evaluated.
