Cultural Origins of Religious Violence: Haricilik Sample

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Haricilik özelinde din, şiddet, kültür ilişkisi ele alınmaktadır. Çalışmamızda din ve şiddet kavramlarından hareketle dinsel şiddetin ne olduğunu tespit etmeye, ardından da Harici şiddetini doğuran neden olarak kültürel faktörü incelemeye çalıştık.Çalışmamız Giriş dahil üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Giriş bölümünde konunun, günümüzdeki önemine değinerek, din felsefesi açısından ele alınmasının gereğini vurguladık.Kavramsal çerçeveyi oluşturduğumuz ikinci bölümde üç başlık şeklinde din, şiddet ve kültür kavramlarının kullanıldığı anlam çeşitliliğini yansıtmaya çalışarak, çalışmamızda bu kavramların hangi anlamlarda kullanılacağını belirttik.Üçüncü bölümde ise kavramın günümüzdeki kullanımından kaynaklanan belirsizlikten hareketle dinsel şiddetin anlamlandırılmasına, ardından dinsel şiddet ile kültür ilişkisinin incelenmesine çalışıldı. Son olarak da Haricilik, kültürel sebeplerden kaynaklı bir şiddet hareketi olarak incelendi.The study is consisted of three chapters including introduction. In the introduction, we put emphasis on the current importance of the subject and highlighted that it must be handled in view of the religion philosophy.In the second chapter, in which we set the conceptual framework, we demonstrated the variety of conceptual meaningsof religion, violence and culture and pointed out in which meanings we preferred them to use in the study.In the third chapter, we tried to explain the term religious violence in terms of the ambiguity resulting from the current use of the term and then to analyse the relation between religious violence and culture. Finally, the exclusionist violence was studied as a kind of violence resulting from its cultural origins.

This study discusses the relation of religion,violence and culture in view of Haricilik.
