A Researchon the Trends of Articles Published in the Field of Children Literature and Their Concordance With Academic Text Preparation Principles

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, 2005-2021 yılları arasında çocuk edebiyatı alanında yayımlanan makalelerin eğilimlerini belirlemek ve bu makalelerin akademik metin yazma ilkelerine uygunluğunu tespit etmektir. Çalışmanın verileri nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi/taraması modeliyle toplanmıştır. Çalışmanın materyalini Google, Google Akademi ve Dergi Park veri tabanları taranarak tespit edilen 468 makale oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin toplanması sürecinde çalışmaların eğilimlerini belirlemek için 'Akademik Metin Eğilim Belirleme Formu' kullanılmıştır. Makalelerin akademik metin hazırlama ilkelerine uygunluğunu belirlemek için ise 'Çocuk Edebiyatı Üzerine Yayımlanmış Makalelerin Akademik Özelliklerini Belirleme Formu' kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada elde edilen verilerin analizinde betimsel analiz teknikleri (frekans ve yüzde) kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda incelenen makalelerin eğilimleri açısından hedef kitle olarak çoğunlukla çocukların seçildiği, makalelerin büyük bir bölümünün nitel yöntemlerle yapıldığı ve nitel veri analiz teknikleriyle analiz edildiği, alan ile ilgili son yıllarda makale sayısında ciddi bir artış olduğu, daha çok değerler ve çocuğa görelik konularında yoğunlaşıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Makalelerin akademik metin yazma ilkelerine uygunluğu açısından ise genel anlamda incelenen makaleler gerekli nitelikleri taşısa da bazı makalelerin başlıklarını oluşturan sözcük sayısının fazla olabildiği; yazarlarının unvanları, orcid numaraları iletişim ve kurum bilgilerinde eksiklikler bulunduğu; makalelerin bazılarının özet bölümlerinde özellikle çalışmanın yöntemi, veri analizi ve önerileri hakkında bilgi verilmediği; anahtar kelimeler verilirken sözcük sayısı bakımından akademik yazım ilkelerinin göz ardı edildiği; giriş, bulgular, sonuç bölümlerinde bazı ölçütlere riayet edilmediği; ayrıca bazı makalelerde yöntem, tartışma ve öneriler kısımlarının yer almadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. The aim of this study is to determine the trends of the articles published in the field of childrens literature between 2005-2021 and find outthe concordance of these articles with the principles of academic text writing. The data of the study were collected by document analysis/scan model in accordance with the qualitative research method. The material of the study consists of 468 articles that were picked out by scanning scanning Google, Google Academy and Journal Park databases. 'Academic Text Tendency Determination Form' was used to determine the trends of the studies during the data collection process. In order to determine the concordance of the articles with the principles of academic text preparation, the 'Form for Determining the Academic Characteristics of Published Articles on Children's Literature' was used. Descriptive analysis (frequency and percentage) techniques were used in the analysis of the data obtained in the study. At the end of the study, it was concluded that children were mostly chosen as the target readers in terms of the tendencies of the articles, most of the articles were made with qualitative methods and analyzed with qualitative data analysis techniques, there has been a significant increase in the number of articles related to the field in recent years, and mostly focused on values and children's relevance. In terms of the concordance of the articles with the principles of academic text writing, even if the articles examined in general have the necessary qualifications, the number of words for the titles of some articles may be too much; there are deficiencies of the orcid numbers, communication and institutional information of the authors; in the summary sections of some of the articles, there is no information about the method, data analysis and recommendations of the study; academic writing principles are ignored in terms of word count when giving keywords; some criteria were not complied with in the introduction, findings and conclusion sections; In addition, it was concluded that some articles did not include method, discussion and suggestions sections.
