Beggary Literature in Arabic Poetry Example of -ebu'ş-şamakmak-

Abstract

İnsanlık tarihi boyunca her memlekette zenginler ile birlikte fakirler ve yoksullar da varolmuştur. Dolayısıyla dilenciliğin de insanlık tarihiyle paraler olduğunu söylemek mümkündür. Arap toplumunun Cahiliye döneminde dilencilik olgusuna bir bütün olarak rastlanmasa da Nabığa ez-Zübyânî ve A'şâ b. Meymun gibi bazı şairlerin şiirleriyle kazanç elde ettikleri görülmüştür. İslamiyetin ilk yıllarında kısmen de olsa kaynaklarda dilencilik örnekleriyle karşılaşmaktayız. Emevi döneminde ise su'luk şairler diye tabir edilen ve eşkıyalığı meslek edinen şairlerin tarih sahnesine çıktığına müşahede etmekteyiz. Abbasi devletin ikinci döneminde gelirlerin halk arasında adil dağıtılmaması ve devleti yönetenlerin zevku sefaya dalmalarından kaynaklı ekonomik yapının bozulmasıda halkı farklı geçim yollarına itmiştir ki bir kısım insanlar en kolay geçim yolu olan dilenciliği tercihetmiştir. Abbasi döneminde tasavvuf, edebiyat vb. disiplinlere mensup kişilerin sahip oldukları meziyetleri dilenmek için kullandıkları görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada özelde Abbasi döneminde yaşamış ve dilenerek geçimlerini sağlamaya çalışan şairler araştırılmıştır. Dilenci edebiyatının ortaya çıkışı, nedenleri, dilenme yöntemleri ve bu amaçla inşad edilen örnek beyitler incelenmiştir.

Throught the history of mankind, in every country the poor have been there with the rich. Therefore, it is possible to say that begging is parallel to human history. While the phenomenon of begging in the Jahiliyya period of the Arab society was not seen as a whole, such as Nabığa al-Zubyani and A'şa b. Meymun some poets, it has been seen to gain profits with their poems. In the first years of Islam, we are faced with some examples of begging in the sources. In the Umayyad period, we have seen that the poets who are called su'luk poets and have a banditiy profession, have appeared on the stage of history. In the second period of the Abbasid state, incomes didn't distributed among the public and the pursuit of pleasure by statesmen, in addition, with the deterioration of the economic structure, the public resorted to different livelihoods. Some people have chosen the easiest means of livelihood. In the Abbasid period, it is seen that people belonging to the disciplines such as sufism, literature etc. Use their abilities for begging. In this study, poets who lived in the period of Abbasids and tried to make a living by begging were researched, in general, the emergence of beggar literature, its causes methods of begging and the examples of the couplets that were built fort his purpose were examined.
