Investigation of Some Agricultural and Quality Characteristics of Cotton (gossypium Hirsutum L.) Varieties Growed in Şanlıurfa Ecological Conditions

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Şanlıurfa ekolojik koşullarında yetiştirilen pamuk (Gossypium hirsutum L.) çeşitlerinin bazı tarımsal ve kalite özelliklerinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada 10 adet pamuk çeşidi (Lazer, BA-119, Lydia, Flash, Edessa, BA-1010, Lima, BA-440, PG-2018, Carisma) kullanılmıştır. Deneme, Tesadüf Blokları Deneme Deseni' ne göre üç tekerrürlü olarak yürütülmüştür. Çalışmada; ekim-çıkış süresi (gün), ilk taraklanma süresi (gün), ilk çiçeklenme ve koza açma süresi (gün) gibi fenolojik gözlemler, bitki boyu (cm), odun dalı sayısı (adet), meyve dalı sayısı (adet), koza sayısı (adet), yüz tohum ağırlığı (g), ilk el kütlü oranı (%), lif verimi (kg/da), kütlü pamuk verimi (kg/da), koza ağırlığı (g), koza kütlü ağırlığı (g), çırçır randımanı (%) ve çiğit yağ oranı (%) gibi özellikler incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda; en yüksek kütlü pamuk verimi Lazer çeşidinden (721.72 kg/da), en düşük kütlü pamuk verimi ise BA-440 çeşidinden (491.00 kg/da)elde edilmiştir. Ayrıca, en yüksek çiğit yağ oranı değeri sırasıyla; %19.06 ve %18.84 ile Flash ve Carisma pamuk çeşitlerinden tespit edilirken, en düşük çiğit yağ içeriği % 16.33 ile BA-119 pamuk çeşidinden belirlenmiştir. In this study, it was aimed to investigate some agricultural and quality characteristics of cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.) cultivars grown in Şanlıurfa ecological conditions. Ten cotton varieties (Laser, BA-119, Lydia, Flash, Edessa, BA-1010, Lima, BA-440, PG 2018, Carisma) were used as material in the research. The experiment was carried out in three replications according to the Randomized Complete Blocks Experimental Design. In the study; phenological observations such as sowing-emergence time (days), first squaring time (days), first flowering and boll opening time (days), plant height (cm), number of monopodial branches (number pieces), number of sympodial branches (number per plant pieces), number of bolls (number per plant), hundred seed weight (g), first picking percentage (%), fiber yield (kg/da), seed cotton yield (kg/da), boll weight (g), seed cotton weight per boll (g), ginning percentage (%) and cottonseed oil ratio (%) were investigated. As a result of the research; The highest seed cotton yield was obtained from Laser variety (721.72 kg/da), and the lowest seed cotton yield was obtained from BA-440 (491.00 kg/da). In addition, the highest cottonseed oil content were obtained from Flash and Carisma cotton varieties with 19.06% and 18.84%, respectively, while the lowest cottonseed oil content was determined from BA-119 cotton variety with 16.33%.
