Müstakimzâde Sadeddin Süleyman B. Muhammed’s (1718-1782) Adâb-i Ulul-Elbâb Ideas About Sect Traditional Concerning With Tractate

Abstract

Müstakimzâde Sadeddin Süleyman b. Muhammed'in ?Âdâb-ı Ulu'l-Elbâb? risâlesinde müellif, tarîkat içinde sâlikin uyması gereken; ferdî ve toplumsal planda bir sâlikte bulunması gereken ahlâk kurallarını mümkün oldukça ayrıntılarıyla islemis olduğunu gördük. Müstakimzâdenin, ahlâk kurallarını bir sûfînin uyması gereken kurallar bütünün ötesinde her Müslüman'ın tasıması gereken vasıflar olarak görmüs ve bu düsünceyle yazıya dökmüs olduğunu gördük. Zira tasavvufta sosyal hayâtın mükemmellesmesi ancak bireyin, dar mânada nefsin, ıslahıyla mümkündür. Müstakimzâde, sûfînin uyması gereken ahlâkî kuralları islerken, mü'min bir sahsîyette bulunması gereken ahlâk kurallarını anlatmaktadır. Müellifin eserini incelememizin sonucunda ele alınan ahlâk kurallarının yüzde yirmisinin Kur'an-ı Kerimde, bununla beraber yüzde altmısının hadis kaynakları (Kütüb-i Sitte)'nda ve birçoğunun da klasik tasavvuf kaynaklarında dayanağının bulunduğunu gördük. Çalısmamız sırasında müellifin tarih, biyografi, hat sanatı, mûsikî, siyer, tefsir, edebiyat, hadis gibi birçok ilim dalında eserler veren bir sûfî-âlim olduğunu ve bunları yaparken herhangi bir düyevî beklentisi olmadığını gördük. Onun selefi kadar mükemmel, çağdaslarından çok daha fazla sünnetin ihyâsı için çalısmıs bir mutasavvıf olduğunu gördük.

Müstakimzâde Sadeddin Süleyman b. Muhammed?s `Âdâb-ı Ulu-l Elbâb? booklet; the writer has written about the rules to be obeyed upmostly by a follower in religious order. He has also written about morals that a follower of a religious order should have individually or in a society together in detail. Müstakimzâde has seen the moral rules as the rules that every muslim should have beyond the rules that a sufi should obey and has written through this thought because the perfectness of social life in sufism is only possible with iprovement of the individual- in a narrow meaning the personality. Müstakimzâde is telling the morals that a believer should have while while telling the morals that a sufi should obey. Through studying of writer?s books, we hawe found that the morals that have been worked on are based on holy Quran (about % 20) and hadith of Muhammed, upon him be peace and blessings (Kütüb-i Sitte) (about % 60) and most of it is based on classik sûfî boks. During the study we hawe seen that the writer is a sûfî scholar who has written books on history, biography, line art, music, the prophet?s life, the meaning of holy Quran and hadith and not desiring anything worldly while doing all those things. We have also seen that he has been as perfect as the previaus one and a sûfî that tried more than his contemporaries in refreshing the sünnet.
