Cyprus Issue in Vatan Newspaper as a Source of History Studies (1954-1974)

Abstract

Kıbrıs sorunu 1950'li yılların başından itibaren Türk dış politikasının gündeminde olup, Yunanistan ve İngiltere ile ilişkilerin belirleyicisi olmuştur. Türk basını da bu tarihten itibaren Kıbrıs sorununa yoğun olarak ilgi göstermiştir. Vatan Gazetesi de Kıbrıs meselesine milli menfaatlerimizi destekleyici şekilde geniş yer vermiştir.?TARİH ÇALİŞMALARINA KAYNAK OLARAK VATAN GAZETESİNDE KIBRIS SORUNU (1954?1974) ? adlı bu çalışmamızda Vatan Gazetesi'nin Kıbrıs sorununa bakış açısı ortaya koymaya çalışılmış ve bu maksatla 1954?1974 yılları arasında Vatan Gazetesinde çıkan toplam 2441 haber ile 219 köşe yazısı, üzerinde herhangi bir yorum yapılmadan anlatılmak istenen konu ön plana çıkarılarak özetleme yapılmıştır.Tezimizin oldukça uzun olması sebebi ile okuyucunun haber ve köşe yazılarına daha rahat ulaşabilmesi açısından bir haber ve köşe yazıları indeks bölümü oluşturulmuştur.

Cyprus issue, Turkey's foreign policy since the beginning of the 1950s is on the agenda, relations with Greece and Britain's has been determined. The Turkish press also has shown intense interest in to the Cyprus problem since that date. Vatan Newspaper has given the wide space to the Cyprus problem by supporting our national interests.In our study called ?CYPRUS ISSUE IN VATAN NEWSPAPER AS A SOURCE OF HISTORY STUDIES (1954-1974) ?, it has been tried to propound to the Vatan newspaper?s perspective to the Cyprus problem, and for this purpose any comments on the total 2441 news and 219 columns which published between the years 1954-1974 in the Vatan newspaper to be described without highlighting the desired topics were made by summarizing.Because of our thesis is very long, with the aim that readers are able to reach the news and articles more easily ,a news and columns index section has been established.
