A Study on Botanical Composition of Natural Pastures and Hay Yield in Başeğmez Village of Çaldiran District of Van Province
Abstract
Bu çalışma, Van ili Çaldıran ilçesine bağlı Başeğmez köyü meralarında yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada; meraların bitki ile kaplı alanı, botanik kompozisyonu, yaş ot ve kuru ot verimleri saptanmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda bitki ile kaplı alan; Başeğmez köyü meralarında % 77 olarak saptanmıştır. Botanik kompozisyon % 11 buğdaygiller, % 7.6 baklagiller ve % 81.4 diğer familyalar olarak tespit edilmiştir. Kuru ot verimi 61.8 kg/da olarak bulunmuştur.Anahtar kelimeler: Van, Mera, Botanik kompozisyon, Bitki ile kaplı alan, Ot verimi
This study was conducted in pastures of Başeğmez village of Çaldıran District of Van Province. The plant coverage areas, botanical compositions, and hay yields were studied. The area covered with plant in the pastures of Başeğmez village was determined as 77 %. The grasses and legume species contributed to the floristic composition with 11 % and 7.6 %, respectively, and species from other families was found out as 81.4 %.
