Mevlevihanes in Ottoman Poetry

Abstract

Mevlevilik, Mevlânâ'nın eserlerinden kaynağını alan öğretiler ile yaşamlarını sürdüren kişilerin oluşturduğu tarikatın adıdır. Mevleviliğe ilgi duyan kişilerin bir araya geldikleri mekânlar ise mevlevihanelerdir. Günümüze kadar tespit edilen mevlevihane sayısı doksan birdir. Mevlevihaneler ile alakalı yazılan şiirler hakkındaki çalışmamız sonucunda yetmiş şiir yazıldığının tespitini yaptık. Yetmiş şiir, otuz iki şair tarafından on altı mevlevihane için yazılmıştır. Konu ile alakalı en fazla şiir Şeyh Galib tarafından yazılmıştır. Şeyh Galib mevlevihane konulu on iki şiir kaleme almıştır. Konya Mevlevihanesi adına en fazla şiir yazılanıdır. Bu şiirlere Mevlânâ Türbesi için yazılanlar da dâhildir. Şu an ülkemiz sınırları dışında kalan Şam, Selanik ve Yenişehir Mevlevihaneleri için yazılmış şiirlerde çalışmamızda incelenmiştir. Mevlevihaneyi konu edinen manzumelerde şairlerin gözünden mevlevihanelerin ne ifade etiğinin tespitlerini yaptık. Mevlevihanelerin; cennete, Kâbe'ye, bahçeye, aynaya, hastaneye, saraya benzetilmesi bu tespitlerden bazılarıdır. Tamire ihtiyaç duyan yapıların hali, mevlevihanelerin aşkın mekânı oluşu gibi kavramların şiirlerde nasıl ele alındığına dair incelemelerde bulunduk.

Mevlevi sect is the name of the sect formed by the people who continue their lives with the teachings derived from the works of Mevlânâ. Places that people are interested in Mevlevi dervishes come together are the mevlevihanes. The number of Mevlevihanes determined until today is ninety one. As a result of our study on the poems written about the mevlevihane, we determined that seventy poems were written. Not all seventy poems are about basic structures. Some of the poems were written for the sections of the dervish lodges. Seventy poems were written by thirty-two poets for sixteen mevlevihanes. Most of the poems related to the subject were written by Şeyh Galib. Şeyh Galib wrote twelve poems about the Mevlevihane. Konya's Mevlevihane is the one most poems written about. These poems also include those written for the Mevlânâ Mausoleum. In the works about the Mevlevihane, we determined what the Mevlevihanes express from the eyes of the poets. Mevlevihane is likened to heaven, the Kaaba, a garden, a mirror, a hospital, and a palace. We examined how concepts such as the state of buildings in need of repair and the Mevlevihane's being a transcendental space are handled in poems.
