Islamism in Turkey (1975 - 1990)

Abstract

İslamcılık, Osmanlı Devleti'nin son dönemlerinden itibaren tartışmaya başlanmıştır. Osmanlı Devleti'nin yıkılmasından sonra, hilafetin kaldırılması İslam dünyasında otorite boşluğu yaşanmasına neden olmuş ve Mısır, Pakistan gibi bazı ülkelerde aydınlar, öğretmenler, akademik çevreler, öğrenciler ve Müslüman alimler önderliğinde İslami Hareketler yeni bir anlayış ile yeniden yapılanmıştır. Çoğunluğunu Müslüman nüfusun oluşturduğu bölgeler işgal altında olduğundan, bu duruma karşı yerelde hareketler ortaya çıkmıştır. İslamcılar, eski güçlü dönemlere dönmek için İslami esaslara ve asli kaynaklara dönmenin gerekliliğine inanmışlardır. Çalışmamızda Osmanlının son dönemlerinde yaşanan İslamcılık tartışmalarına yer verilmiş ve o dönemde İslamcılık fikrinin devlet eliyle uygulanmasının nedenlerine değinilmiştir. Cumhuriyet döneminde yeni bir tarzla ortaya çıkan cemaatler ele alınmış ve bunların geçirdiği süreç irdelenmeye çalışılmış, araştırmalar sonucunda elde edilen bilgiler ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın kapsamını yeni bir tarz ve söylemle ortaya çıkan İslamcılık anlayışı çerçevesindeki yapıları belirlemeye çalıştık. Bu nedenle Türkiye'de 1975- 1990 arası belirginleşen bu yapılanmalara etki eden birçok parametre arasından özellikle, İran İslam Devrimi, Afgan cihadı ve Pakistan, Mısır gibi ülkelerden yapılan çeviri eserlerin etkisi irdelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bunun yanı sıra tercüme eserlerin etkisiyle bu toprakların yabancısı olduğu söylem ve tavırlar da ele alınmaya çalışılmıştır. Ayrıca bu yapıların yaşadıkları iç tartışmalar ve geçirdikleri evreler de incelenmeye dâhil edilmiştir. Çalışma da literatür taraması yöntemiyle, kitaplar, dönemsel dergiler, İnternet siteleri, makaleler incelenmiştir. Ayrıca belirgin kimliklerle telefonla görüşmeler yapılarak bilgi edinilmeye çalışılmıştır.

Islamism began to be discussed since the last periods of the Ottoman Empire. After the fall of the Ottoman Empire, the abolition of the hymn caused a vacuum of authority in the Islamic world, and islamic movements led by intellectuals, teachers, academic circles, students and Muslim scholars in some countries such as Egypt and Pakistan were re-structured with a new understanding. Since predominantly Muslim areas are occupied, local movements have emerged against this situation. Islamists believed in Islamic principles and the necessity of returning to the original resources in to return to the strong old eras. In our study, the discussions of Islamism in the last periods of the Ottoman Empire were discussed and the reasons for the implementation of the idea of Islamism by the state at that time were mentioned. The congregations that emerged in a new style during the Republican period were discussed and the process they went through was tried to be studied and the information obtained as a result of the researches was tried to be revealed. We tried to determine the structures within the framework of the understanding of Islamism, which revealed the scope of this work with a new style and discourse. For this reason, among the many parameters that influenced these structures that became evident in Turkey between 1975 and 1990, especially the influence of translation works made from countries such as the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Afghan jihad and Pakistan and Egypt was tried to be studied. In addition, the discourses and attitudes that this land is foreign to were tried to be addressed with the influence of translated works. In addition, the internal discussions and stages of these structures are included in the study. In the study, books, periodic journals, websites, articles were examined by literature review method. In addition, it was tried to get information by making phone calls with prominent identities.
