A Study on Selection of Promosing Genotypes in Walnut (Juglans Regia L.) Populations of Hizan (Bitlis) District

Abstract

Ümitvar ceviz gonotiplerin selekte edilmesi amacıyla 2001-2003 yıllarıarasında Bitlis ilinin Hizan ilçesinde yürütülen bu çalışmada, 48 ceviz genotipindemeyve örneği alınarak üstün meyve kalitesine sahip 18 ceviz genotipi seçilmiştir.Seçilen bu genotiplerde meyve ağırlığı 8.59-11.73 g, iç ağırlığı 4.33-5.72 g,iç oranı %41.76-54.83 ve kabuk kalınlığı 0.70-1.74 mm arasında tespit edilmiştir.Selekte edilen genotiplerin 2'si protogamy, 2'si homogamy ve 14'ü protandrykarakterde çiçeklendiği saptanmıştır.This study carried out to select promising walnut genotypes in Hizan(Bitlis) district, during 2001-2003. In the study, fruit samples were taken from 48walnut types and 18 walnut types were selected to be promosing types.In selecting types, nut weights were between 8.59-11.73 g, kernel nutweights between 4.33-5.72 g, kernel rations between 41.76%-54.83% and shellthickness between 0.70-1.74 mm.
