Analysis of the Works in the Book of Göksel Baktagir Named 'composer in Terms of Mod, Method, Transition and a Recommendation for Its Usability in Qanun Education

Abstract

Göksel Baktagir, günümüzde kanun çalgısının önemli bir bestecisi ve icra sanatçısıdır. Kanun çalgısına ve Türk müziğine birçok eser kazandıran besteci, aynı zamanda kanun çalgısında kendisine özgü bir teknik geliştirmiştir. Bu çalışmada, besteciye ait olan 'Bestekâr' isimli kitapta yine besteci tarafından bestelenen saz eserlerinin makam, usül ve geçki yönünden incelenmesi, kullanılan makam, usül ve geçkilerin Göksel Baktagir'in tarzının ve nazari yaklaşımının bilimsel metotlarla belirlenmesi hedeflenmiştir. Ayrıca incelenen eserlerdeki teknik zorlukların aşılmasına yönelik hazırlayıcı ön çalışma etütleri yazılarak, kanun eğitiminde kullanılabilirliği alan uzmanlarının görüşleri alınarak belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre, Göksel Baktagir'in saz eserlerinde ajilite kullanmayı öne çıkardığı, özellikle üçleme, otuz ikilik nota değerlerini çokça kullandığı, kromatik geçkiler ve sol el mandal kullanımının ağırlıklı olduğu görülmektedir. Ayrıca, araştırmacı tarafından analiz sonucu oluşturulan etütlerin ön hazırlık açısından, alan uzmanları görüşleriyle uygun olduğu ve kanun eğitiminde eser odaklı etüt çalışmalarının önemli olduğu belirlenmiştir. Tüm bunların yanında, bu çalışma ile saz eserlerinde belirlenen teknik zorlukların aşılması amacıyla yeni etütler yazılması ve icracı ve eğitimcilerin kullanımına sunulmuş olması da önemli görülmektedir. Göksel Baktagir is the most important composer and performer of the qanun instrument today. The composer, who brought many works to the qanun instrument and Turkish music, also developed a unique technique for the qanun instrument. In this study, it is aimed to examine the instrumental works belonging to the composer in terms of mode, method and transition, and to reveal the style and theoretical approach of Göksel Baktagir, using scientific methods, in the book named 'Bestekâr', which belongs to the composer. In addition, preparatory etudes were written to overcome the technical difficulties in the examined works and opinions of the field experts were taken in terms of their applicability in qanun education. The studies developed by the researcher were evaluated with the opinions of field experts. According to the findings, it is seen that Göksel Baktagir emphasizes the use of agitation in his instrumental works, especially the trilogy, thirty-two note values, andtheuse of chromatic transition sand left-handed pegsarepre dominant. In addition, it has been determined that the studies created by the researcher as a result of the analysis are in accordance with the opinions of field experts in terms of preliminary preparation and that work- oriented studies are important and suitable for qanun education. In addition to all these, it is considered important that new etudes are written and presented to the use of performers and educators in order to overcome the technical difficulties identified in instrumental works.
