Investigation of the Effects of Rope Jumping Exercises on Some Motor Skills in Female Volleyball Players
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to look into how volleyball players aged 12 to 14 improved their jumping skills through rope jumping training. Twenty volleyball players, aged 12 to 14, who play the sport regularly in Van province and train three days a week for six hours in accordance with the training plan, make up the sample of our study in the field research carried out for this purpose. In the study, volleyball players were divided into 2 groups and in the first group, 10 athletes received rope jumping exercises in addition to the volleyball-specific training program, while 10 volleyball players in the second group continued their routine volleyball training for 8 weeks. According to the results of the study, when the differences between the physical characteristics of the groups were examined, it was found that only there were significant differences between shoulder circumference, hip circumference, bitrochanteric width, bilac width and foot length and there was no significant difference between the other physical characteristics; no significant difference was found in terms of balance measurements between the control and rope jumping training groups; When the differences between the first test and the last test in the jump tests for the control group were examined, it was determined that there was a significant difference only between the first and last tests in the jump test; when the differences between the first and last jump tests of the rope jumping group were examined, it was determined that no significant difference was found in any of the tests and finally, no significant difference was found according to the first and last jump values.
