Turkish Painting Art Reflection of Postmodernism

Abstract

Postmodernizm kültürel, ekonomik, sosyal ve siyasal durumları ve bu alanlarda meydana gelen değişikliklerin etkilerini modernizmi eleştirerek açıklayan yeni bir paradigmadır. Postmodernizmin üzerinde anlaşılmış bir hipotezi ve tanımı yoktur. Makro teorik bir paradigma olmanın ötesine geçebilmiş değildir, ancak varsayımcı yapısı ve potansiyel açıklayıcı değeriyle postmodernizm farklı disiplinlerden pek çok sosyal bilimcinin çalışma alanına girmiştir. Postmodernizm, birçok paradoksu gündeme getiren ekonomik, sosyal, siyasal ve kültürel alanlarda tartışmalar yaratmış bir kavramdır.Postmodernizm, geleneksel sanat kavramını sorgulayarak yeni bir çözülme sürecini başlatmıştır. Tez çalışması bu süreci resim sanatına öncelik vererek irdelemeyi seçmiştir. Postmodernizme ilişkin kapsamlı tartışmalara yer veren II. Bölümde siyasal ekonomik sosyal ve kültürel boyutlarda postmodern yansımalar ele alınmıştır. Postmodernizmin sanata yansıması, dünya sanatında postmodern tartışmalar ve Türk resim sanatında postmodern yaklaşımlar tez çalışmasının III. Bölümünde incelenmiştir. Postmodern özellikler taşıyan resim sanatı örneklerinden, kuramsal tartışmalara açıklık getirecek biçimde seçilen ürünlere yer verilen IV. Bölümü de Türkiye örneklerine ağırlık verilmiştir.Bulgu, yorum ve önerileri kapsayan tez çalışmasının V. Bölümünde Postmodernizmin, modernden yararlanmasına karşın, modernizme karşı bir eleştiri niteliği de taşıması özelliği ve moderni dönüştürerek kullanması yorumuna varılmış ve tartışılmıştır.Sonuç olarak, postmodernizmin yiten, kaybolan değerlerin, gizlenen gerçeklerin standartlaşmış hayat disiplinin eleştirilmesi fikrini taşıyan bir antitezi olma özelliğinin resim sanatındaki yansımalarına işaret edilmiştir.

Postmodernism is a new paradigm, which describes cultural,economic,social and political conditions and the effects of the changes in these areas by criticising the modernity.There is no a comprehended definition and hypothesis on postmodernism.It has not been able to transcend being a macro theoretical paradigm, but postmodernism with the assumptive structure and the potential explanatory value, goes in the working field of the scientists, working in different disiplines.Postmodernism is a concept,which brings up lots of paradox ,and causes debates on the field of economic,social,political and cultural.Postmodernism has initiated a new process of dissolution by questioning the concept of the traditional art.The study of thesis has chosen to explicate this process,by giving priority to the art of painting.In the II. Section which the includes a comprehensive discussion related to postmodernism, handles postmodern reflections on the political, economic ,social and cultural dimensions . The reflection of the postmodernism to the art, the postmodern discussions in the world art , and the postmodern approaches in Turkish painting art, are examined in the III. Section.In IV. Section including examples of postmodern art that have pictures , the chosen productions to clarify the theoretical discussions , are given weight examples of Turkey,too.The study of thesis in V.section,covering findings,comments,and suggestions , although postmodernism benefits from the modern, ıts the nature of a criticism against modernism and converting it to use the modern interpretation are agreed and discussed.As a result, postmodernism evanescent, vanishing values, discipline, criticism of the idea of hiding the facts of life with standardized feature in a painting to be the antithesis of reflections are pointed out.
