The Reflection of Instrument Training on Music Lessons Taken by Teachers of Music Who Get Violin Training in the Departments of Music Education in Turkey

Abstract

Bu araştırma müzik öğretmenliği programlarının en önemli unsurlarından biri olan çalgı eğitimi üzerine yapılmıştır. Müzik Eğitimi Anabilim Dallarından mezun ana çalgısı keman olan, Van ilinde bulunan müzik öğretmenlerinin derslerde keman çalgısını ne oranda kullandıkları ve aldıkları bu eğitimin müzik derslerinde kullanabilme durumları incelenmiştir. Öğretmenlerin derslerde kullandıkları çalgı tercihleri incelenmiştir. Yapılan görüşmeler sonucunda çıkan sonuçlara göre öneriler yapılmıştır. Genel olarak katılımcılar derslerde daha çok org, bağlama, gitar, blok flüt, kullanmayı tercih etmişlerdir. Aynı zamanda öğrendikleri etüt ve eserlerin derslere yansımadığını ifade etmişlerdir. Genellikle çalgılarını solo çalmak, dikkat çekmek, çalgıyı tanıtmak amacıyla kullandıkları gözlemlenmiştir. Geleneksel müziklerimiz olan Türk Halk Müziği ve Türk Sanat müziğinin, keman eğitiminde az yer aldığı sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.

This study was conducted on one of the most important elements of music teaching programs, which is instrument education. Music teachers who graduated from the departments of music education, whose instrument is violin, and the ratio of using the violin in the lessons of the music teachers in Van and the use of the training in music lessons were examined. Suggestions were made according to the results of the interviews. It has been observed that the education in the department of music education, where the content shows differences, is different from the content in music lessons. Instrument preferences are predominant in certain instruments. The participants emphasized that a musical instrument should be accompanied by a musical instrument in the music lessons. Suggestions were made within the framework of the findings. The participants preferred to use organ, instrument with three double strings, guitar and block flute. They also stated that the content did not meet the music lesson. It is observed that they generally use their instruments to play solo, to attract attention and to introduce the instrument. It has been observed that our national music's; Turkish Folk Music and Turkish Art Music have little place in violin education.
