Investigation of the Qualification Status of the Trainees Attending the Coaching Courses Opened by the Federations, Their Document Levels,perception of Their Profession and Their Future Expectations

Abstract

Ülke sporunun gerek ulusal düzeyde gerekse uluslararası organizasyonlarda sportif yarışmalarda elde edilen başarılarının yetersiz olduğu kanısı, buna karşın gün geçtikçe niceliksel olarak antrenör sayıları artarken, nitelik olarak karşılığını bulamadığımız gerekçesinden hareketle bu çalışmada amacımız federasyonlarca açılan antrenörlük kurslarına katılan kursiyerlerin yeterlilik durumları, sahip oldukları belge kademeleri, meslek algısı ve gelecek beklentilerinin ortaya konulmasıdır.Tarama modelinde yapılandırılan araştırmanın örneklemini Doğu ve Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgelerindeki illerde federasyonlarca açılan antrenörlük kurslarına katılmış ve başarılı olmuş olan gönüllü 301 kursiyer oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veriler anket yöntemi ile toplanmıştır. Anket formu kişisel bilgiler, meslek algısı ölçeği ve gelecek beklenti ölçeğinden oluşmaktadır. Karaman (2008) tarafından geliştirilen ölçek katılımcıların mesleki algılarını ve gelecekten beklentilerini belirlemek amacıyla tasarlanmıştır. Ölçekte ilk 30 soru mesleğe ilişkin algıları diğer 17 soruyu ise geleceğe yönelik beklentileri içermektedir. Elde edilen veriler istatistik paket programlar ile analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmada yer alan sürekli değişkenlere ait tanımlayıcı istatistikler ortalama, standart sapma, medyan, minimum ve maksimum değerleriyle, kategorik değişkenler frekans ve yüzde ile gösterilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda; araştırmaya katılan kursiyerlerin meslek algısı bakımından hiçbir değişkende anlamlı farklılık bulunamamıştır. Yine araştırmada antrenörlük kurslarına katılan kursiyerlerin meslek algısı ile geleceğe yönelik beklentileri arasında pozitif yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Antrenörlük kurslarına katılan kursiyerlerin meslek algısı arttıkça geleceğe yönelik beklentilerinin de arttığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.Despite the conviction that the success of sports in national and international organizations obtained by fedarations in sports competitions is in sufficent.As the number of the coaches has been increasing quantitatively day by day,our aim in this study is to evaluate the qualification status of trainees attending the coaching courses opened by federations,to reveal the usage levels of the documents,the perception of profession and future expectatins.The sample of the research structured in the screening model consists of 301 trainee volunteers who participated and succeeded by fedarations in coaching courses opened by federations in the provinces of Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia. The data were collected by questionnaire method. The questionnaire consists of personal information, occupational perception scale and future expectation scale. The scale developed by Karaman (2008) was designed to determine the participants' professional perceptions and expectations from the future. The first 30 questions in the scale include perceptions of the profession and the other 17 questions include expectations for the future. The data obtained were analyzed with statistical package programs. Descriptive statistics of continuous variables in the study were shown with mean, standard deviation, median, minimum and maximum values, and categorical variables were expressed by frequency and percentage. As a result of the research; No significant difference was found in any variable in terms of professional perception of trainees participating in the research. In the research, a positive significant relationship was found between the perception of occupation and the expectations of the trainees participating in the coaching courses. It has been concluded that as the perception of occupation of the trainees participating in the training courses increases, their expectations for the future also increase.
