Examining the Illumination of Some Quran in the Religious Affairs Library

Abstract

Yazma eserler bakımından zengin mirasa sahip olan ülkemizde pek çok kütüphanede bulunan binlerce el yazması eser raflarda tozlanmaya bırakılmış, en nadide eserlerin tezyinatı gün yüzüne çıkarılmamıştır. İncelemeye tabi tutulan eserler ağırlıklı olarak klasik dönem yazmalarıyla sınırlı kalmıştır. Araştırmamızda Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı Kütüphanesi'nde yer alan farklı yüzyıllara ait istinsah tarihi bilinen ve bilinmeyen bazı yazma Kur'an-ı Kerim nüshalarının kitap sanatları kapsamında tezhip özellikleri; üslup, teknik, renk ve kompozisyon bakımından analizleri yapılacaktır. İncelenen yazmalar ışığında dönemin genel özelliklerinin Kur'an-ı Kerim süslemelerine hangi ölçüde yansıtıldığı ortaya koyulmaya çalışılacaktır. İstinsah tarihi belli olmayan yazmalarda, süsleme özelliklerine göre desen çözümlemesi yapılarak tezyinat tarihi tespit edilmeye çalışılacaktır.

In our country, which has a rich heritage in terms of manuscripts, thousands of manuscripts in many libraries have been left to dust on the shelves and the decorations of the most precious works have not been unearthed. The works subjected to examination are mainly limited to the classical period manuscripts. In our research, the illumination characteristics of some manuscripts of the Qur'an, whose copying dates are known and unknown, belonging to different centuries, within the scope of book arts; They will be analyzed in terms of style, technique, color and composition. In the light of the examined manuscripts, it will be tried to reveal to what extent the general characteristics of the period are reflected in the ornaments of the Quran. It will be tried to determine the date of decoration by analyzing the patterns according to the ornamentation features of the manuscripts whose copying date is not known.
