With the Socio-Political Id of Hakkari

Abstract

Tarih nice toplumların coğrafi bir mekânda yüzyıllarca ürettikleri kültürün kuşaklar arasında aktarılmasına şahitlik etmiştir. Tarihin tanıklık ettiği bu coğrafi mekânlardan biri de Hakkâri Coğrafyasıdır. Özgün coğrafyası ve bu coğrafi karaktere paralel evrimleşen özgün toplumsal kimliği ile tarihi akış içinde maruz kaldığı onlarca saldırı ve imha girişimlerine karşı hiçbir iktidar gücünün uzun süreli hâkimiyetinde kalmamıştır. Farklı inanç ve kültürlerin yüzyıllarca barış içinde yaşadığı Hakkâri, 16. Yüzyılın sonlarından başlayıp 19. Yüzyılın başlarına kadar devam eden misyonerlik faaliyetleri ile ortak değerleri çözülmüş ve akabinde yaşanan inanç savaşlarıyla da tarihindeki en büyük çöküşü yaşamıştır. Bu çalışmada tarihi Hakkâri topraklarında yaşanan siyasi, ekonomik ve toplumsal gelişme ve değişimleri üç ana başlık altında incelemeye çalıştım. İlk olarak Hakkâri'nin coğrafi özellikleri ve isminin kaynağı hakkında kısa bir bilgi girişi yaptım. İkinci olarak geniş bir coğrafi yüzeye yayılan ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin kuruluşuna kadar devam eden aşiret konfederasyonları ve mirlerin yönettiği Hakkâri'yi, son olarak da Cumhuriyetin kuruluşundan günümüze Hakkâri'de yaşanan siyasi, ekonomik ve toplumsal gelişmeleri ulaşabildiğim kaynaklar itibari ile çok yönlü olarak inceledim. Bu süreçte temel ilkem yazılı kaynaklar olmuştur. Zira son yıllarda artan bir ilgiyle bu kaynakların sayısı her zamankinden daha çoktur. Yazılı kaynaklar içerisinde öncelikle basılı kitap ve dergilerden sonra da dijital ortamda mevcut kaynaklardan yararlanmaya gayret ettim. Bu çalışmada maksadım tarih yazıcılı değildir. Nitekim Hakkâri tarihindeki yaşantıları bir tezin kapsamına sığdırmak mümkün de değildir. Temel amacım tarihsel süreç içerisinde sınırları sürekli değişken bir coğrafyada kayda geçen tarihsel olay ve olguları bir arada derlemeye ve ilerde benzer çalışma yapacak bilim çevrelerine katkı sunmaktır.

History has witnessed the transfer of the culture that many societies have produced in a geographical place for centuries between generations. One of these geographical places witnessed by history is the Geography of Hakkari.With its unique geography and unique social identity that evolved in parallel with this geographical character, it has not been under the long-term domination of any ruling power against the dozens of attacks and attempts of annihilation. Hakkari, where different beliefs and cultures lived in peace for centuries, had the greatest collapse in its history with the missionary activities that started at the end of the 16th century and continued until the beginning of the 19th century, and with the wars of faith that followed. In this study, I tried to examine the political, economic and social developments and changes in the historical Hakkari lands under three main headings. First, I made a brief use of information about the geographical features of Hakkari and the origin of its name. Second, in a versatile way, I viewed Hakkari which is spread on a wider geographical surface and was managed by the tribal confederations and the Mires until the foundation of Turkish Republic, and finally, the city Hakkari since the establishment of Turkish Republic until this day as far as the sources let. In this process, my main principle has been written sources as the number of these sources is more than ever with increasing interest in recent years. Among the written sources, I tried to make use of firstly the printed books and magazines and then the available resources in the digital environment. My aim in this study is not to write the history. As a matter of fact, it is not possible to fit the experiences in the history of Hakkari within the scope of a thesis. My main goal is to compile together historical events and facts recorded in a geography whose boundaries are constantly changing in the historical process and to contribute to scientific circles that will conduct similar studies in the future
