The Effect of Micro Teaching Method on the Writing Skills of Seventhing Blinging Students

Abstract

Bu tez çalışmasında mikro öğretim yönteminin iki dilli yedinci sınıf öğrencilerinin yazma becerilerine etkisi incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın araştırma grubunu 2017-2018 eğitim-öğretim yılında Hakkâri ilinin Yüksekova ilçesinde yer alan Cumhuriyet Ortaokulunda öğrenim gören 28 iki dilli yedinci sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada deneysel yöntemlerden ön test- son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen uygulanmıştır. Çalışmanın amacına uygun veri toplamak amacıyla Beydemir (2010) tarafından geliştirilen 'Yaratıcı Yazma Ürünlerini Değerlendirme Ölçeği' ve Sever (2000) tarafından geliştirilen 'Yazılı Anlatım Becerisini Değerlendirme Ölçeği' kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde parametrik testler kullanılmıştır. Parametrik testlerden bağımlı ve bağımsız örneklemler t-testi, tercih edilmiştir. Araştırmada mikro öğretim yönteminin yazma becerisini ortalama 16,43 puan, yaratıcı yazma becerisini ise ortalama 16,23 puan artırdığı tespit edilmiştir. Kontrol grubuyla kıyaslandığında mikro öğretimin uygulandığı deney grubu lehine istatistiksel olarak da anlamlı sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Özetlemek gerekirse, Mikro öğretim tekniği iki dilli 7. Sınıf öğrencilerinin yaratıcı yazma becerilerini geliştirmede Türkçe Öğretim Programı'nda önerilen etkinliklere kıyasla daha başarılı sonuçlar vermiştir. In this thesis, the effect of microteaching method on the writing skills of bilingual seventh grade students was examined. The research group of the study consists of 28 bilingual seventh grade students studying at Cumhuriyet Secondary School in Yüksekova district of Hakkari in the 2017-2018 academic year. In the research, quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group was applied from the experimental methods. In order to collect data suitable for the purpose of the study, the 'Creative Writing Skills Assessment Scale' developed by Beydemir (2010) and the 'Written Expression Skill Assessment Scale' developed by Sever (2000) were used. Parametric tests were used in the analysis of the data. Among the parametric tests, dependent and independent samples t-test was preferred. In the study, it was observed that the micro-teaching method increased the writing skill by an average of 16.43 points and the creative writing skill by an average of 16.23 points. When compared with the control group, statistically significant results were obtained in favor of the experimental group in which microteaching was applied. To summarize, Micro teaching technique showed more successful results in improving the creative writing skills of bilingual 7th grade students compared to the activities suggested in the Turkish Curriculum.
