In Christian Religious Architecture İn Diyarbakır Turkish-ıslamic Decorations

Abstract

Diyarbakır, stratejik konumu, köklü tarihi ve kültürel zenginlikleriyle hafızalarda yer edinmiş; zamana, doğaya ve insan tahribatına karşı direnerek bugünkü kent kimliğini kazanmıştır. Diyarbakır'ın bu niteliği kazanmasındaki en önemli etken, tarih boyunca ev sahipliği yaptığı farklı din ve mezheplere mensup uygarlıkların kültürel değerlerini barındırmasıdır. Somut değerlerden gerek dini gerekse sivil mimaride karşımıza çıkan süsleme unsurları bu eserlerin yapıldıkları dönemin sanat anlayışını yansıtan önemli bulgulardır. Çalışma kapsamında Diyarbakır'daki Hristiyan mimarisinde Türk-İslam etkili süslemelerin sanatsal etkileşimleri irdelenmeye ve bu sayede bölgede yaşayan Hristiyan ve Müslümanların birbirleri ile olan kültürel alışverişleri anlaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın temel amacı Diyarbakır'daki Hristiyan Mimarisinde Türk-İslam Etkili Süslemelerin belirlenmesidir. Diyarbakır'daki Hristiyan mimari eserlerinin araştırılması, yerinde incelenmesi, tarihsel ve bölgesel açıdan bir bütün olarak değerlendirilmesi yapılarak Sanat Tarihi metotlarına uygun bir şekilde hazırlanmıştır. Çalışma için gerekli tüm bulgular toplandıktan sonra ihtiyaç duyulan kaynaklar incelenmiş ve tezde faydalanılmak üzere sınıflandırılmıştır. Tez içeriği, belli bir düzen çerçevesinde oluşturulan metin, harita, çizim ve görsellerle desteklenmiş ve bu sayede zenginleştirilmiştir. Hazırlanan bu çalışma, başta sanat tarihi olmak üzere mimari süsleme anlamında yapılacak yeni araştırmalara katkı sağlayacağını ümit ederiz.

With its strategic location, deep-rooted history and cultural richness, Diyarbakır has gained its present urban identity by resisting time, nature and human destruction. The most important factor in Diyarbakır's achievement of this quality is that it has hosted the cultural values of civilisations belonging to different religions and sects throughout history. Among the tangible values, the ornamental elements that we encounter in both religious and civil architecture are important findings reflecting the artistic understanding of the period in which these works were built. In this context, the artistic interactions of Turkish-Islamic influenced ornaments in Christian architecture in Diyarbakır were tried to be examined and thus the cultural exchanges between Christians and Muslims living in the region were tried to be understood. The main purpose of the study is to determine the Turkish-Islamic Influenced Decorations in Christian Architecture in Diyarbakır. It was prepared in accordance with the methods of Art History by researching the Christian architectural works in Diyarbakır, examining them on site, evaluating them as a whole in terms of historical and regional aspects. After collecting all the necessary findings for the study, the sources needed were examined and classified to be used in the thesis. The content of the thesis has been supported and enriched with text, maps, drawings and visuals created within the framework of a certain order. We hope that this study will contribute to new researches to be carried out in the field of architectural ornamentation, especially in the field of art history
