Bilim ve Sanat Merkezlerinde Müzik Yetenek Alanına Tanılı Öğrencilerin Kariyer Planlaması: Doğu Anadolu Örneği

Abstract

Bilim Sanat Merkezleri (BİLSEM) ülkemizde Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı olarak hizmet veren ve yetenekli öğrencilerin eğitimini destekleyen kurumların başında gelir. Bu kurumlara belirli bir yetenek sınavı ile seçilen öğrenciler, ilköğretimden ortaöğretim tamamlanana kadar resim, müzik ve genel yetenek alanlarında ilkokuldan lise kadar destekleyici eğitim alırlar. Eğitim kurumları, öğrencilerin kariyer hedeflerine ulaşmalarını desteklemek amacıyla kariyer planlama ve geliştirme süreçlerinde etkin rol üstlenirler. Özellikle öğrencilerin ilgi ve yetenek alanlarında ileri düzey eğitimlerin verildiği BİLSEM'ler, öğrencilerin kariyer yönelimleri ve planlamalarını olumlu şekilde destekleyebilecek potansiyele sahiptir. Yapılan çalışmalar incelendiğinde BİLSEM müzik alanına tanılı öğrencilerin kariyer planlamasına dair bir çalışma görülmüş ve bu amaçla bu çalışma konusu seçilmiştir. Araştırmanın amacı BİLSEM'lerde müzik alanına tanılı öğrencilerin kariyer planlamasını incelemektir. Araştırmada karma yöntem kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Doğu Anadolu Bölgesi'nde sekiz ilde bulunan BİLSEM müzik yetenek alanına tanılı 11 ve 12. sınıf öğrencilerinden 17 si oluşturmaktadır. Bu amaçla bu araştırmada nicel verilerin toplanması için Kariyer Planlama Ölçeği (KPÖ) ve yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama araçlarının geçerlik ve güvenirlilik analizleri araştırmacı tarafından yapılmıştır. Araştırma bulguları neticesinde BİLSEM müzik alanına tanılı öğrencilerin kariyer algılarının olumlu olduğu ve eğitim süreçlerinin kariyer hedeflerine ulaşmada etkili olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Öğrenciler BİLSEM müzik eğitimini; verimli, farkındalık, dikkat ve özgüven kazandıran, kültürel katkı sağlayan bir eğitim olarak tanımlamıştır. Bulgular neticesinde. Bilsem kurumlarında aldıkları müzik eğitiminin, öğrencilerin memnuniyet durumlarını olumlu etkilediği ve kariyer planlama süreçlerine de olumlu katkılar sağladığını söylemek mümkündür.Science and Art Centres (BİLSEM) are one of the leading institutions that serve under the Ministry of National Education in our country and support the education of talented students. In these institutions, students receive supportive education in the fields of art, music and general talent from primary school until the end of high school. Educational institutions take an active role in career planning and development processes in order to support students to reach their career goals. BİLSEMs, where advanced education is provided especially in the fields of students' interests and talents, have the potential to positively support students' career orientations and planning. When the literature was analysed, it was seen that there was no study on the career planning of students diagnosed with BİLSEM music field. The aim of the research is to examine the career planning of students diagnosed with the field of music in BİLSEMs. Mixed method was used in the study. The sample of the study consisted of 17 11th and 12th grade students diagnosed with music talent in BİLSEMs located in eight provinces in the Eastern Anatolia Region. Career Planning Scale (CPS) and semi-structured interview form were used to collect quantitative data. The validity and reliability analyses of the data collection tools were conducted by the researcher. As a result of the research findings, it was determined that the career perceptions of the students diagnosed with BİLSEM music field were positive and that they found the education they received effective in achieving their career goals. Students defined BİLSEM music education as an education that is efficient, raises awareness, attention and self-confidence, and provides cultural contribution. It is possible to say that the music education they receive in BİLSEM institutions positively affects students' satisfaction levels and contributes positively to their career planning processes.
