The Contributions of the Solfege and Dictation Applications in Military Band Schools Formed by Turkish Folk Music To the Hearing and Musical Perceptions

Abstract

Bu araştırma, TSK Askeri Bando Okulları Komutanlığı?nda okutulmakta olan Müziksel İşitme Okuma Yazma (MİOY) dersinin Türk Halk Müziği Ezgilerinden oluşturulan solfej (müziksel okuma) ve dikte (müziksel işitme ve yazma) çalışmaları ile birlikte verilmesinin, öğrencilerin MİOY becerilerine olan katkısını tespit etmek ve çalışmadan elde edilecek bulgu ve sonuçlar neticesinde öneriler sunmak amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Araştırmanın Evreni TSK Askeri Bando Okulları Komutanlığı, Örneklemi ise 2012-2013 eğitim ve öğretim yılında öğrenim gören 12. sınıf A ve B sınıfı öğrencilerinden oluşmaktadır. Örneklem grubu ise, evrenden benzer özelliklere sahip, yansızlık ölçütüne göre seçilen toplam 44 öğrenciden (22 kişi deney grubu, 22 kişi kontrol grubu) oluşturulmuştur. Araştırma, deneysel yöntem içerisinde yer alan ön test-son test kontrol gruplu modelde olup, deneysel bir nitelik taşımakta ayrıca, literatür tarama, deneysel uygulama ve elde edilen verilerin istatistiksel analizi yöntemleriyle hazırlanmıştır. Deneysel uygulamadan elde edilen veriler SPSS istatistik paket programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiş ve elde edilen sonuçlar tablolara dönüştürülerek yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda; MİOY dersi içerik uygulamalarında, Türk Halk Müziği Ezgilerinden oluşturulan solfej (müziksel okuma) ve dikte (müziksel işitme ve yazma) çalışmalarına yer vermenin, öğrencilerin MİOY gelişimlerine pozitif katkı sağladığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. In this research, which is taught in Turkish Armed Forces Command Military Band School Musical Hearing, Reading and Writing (MİOY) lessons solfeggio created by melodies of Turkish Folk Music (musical reading), and dictation (musical hearing and writing) are accompanied by studies, to determine the contribution of students? skills on MİOY, and as well as intended to provide recommendations which are obtained from the findings and results of this study. Overview of this research is the Turkish Armed Forces Military Band of the Research Schools Command and the sample is consist of the 12th grade, class A and class B students which are in academic year of 2012-2013. The sample group, a total of 44 students selected based on the similar characteristics on the universe and the criteria of neutrality. (Experimental group of 22 people, 22 people in the control group) was created. The pre-test and post-test control group model was included in the experimental Method. As well as, this research consist of literature review, experimental application and statistical data analysis. SPSS statistical software was used to analyze the data obtained from experimental applications and the results are interpreted by transforming them into statements. This can be concluded that solfege (musical reading) and dictation (musical hearing and writing) melodies which are created by Turkish Folk Music in MİOY course content, provides positive effect on student MİOY development.
