Evaluation of Bitlis City and Districts Handicraft in the Context of Cultural Tourism

Abstract

Geleneksel Türk el sanatları; yöre halkının sevinçlerini, üzüntülerini, sanatsal zevklerini, çeşitliliklerini yansıtan, köklerini binlerce yıllık Anadolu kültüründen alan, emek ve alın teri ile yoğrulmuş değerlerdir. Öte yandan turizm, bu özgün değerlerin gelecek nesillere ve dünyaya tanıtılmasında büyük farklılıklar yaratabilecek bir araçtır. Kültür turizmi, bir ülkenin ekonomik açıdan gelişmesinde önemli bir paya sahiptir. Bu bağlamda, geleneksel Türk el sanatlarının korunması ve kuşaktan kuşağa taşınması büyük bir önem taşımaktadır. Bitlis ili ve ilçeleri uzun bir tarihi geçmişe sahiptir. Burada kültürel varlıklara yaygın olarak rastlanmaktadır ve el sanatları bunlar içerisinde önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Bitlis ve çevresine ait geleneksel el sanatlarının üretimi ve bu el sanatlarıyla uğraşan kişilerin varlığı, bu kültürel mirasın gelecek kuşaklara taşınması kültür turizmi açısından önemli bir durumdur. Bununla birlikte, turizm pazarlaması çerçevesinde geleneksel el sanatlarının desteklenmesi de Bitlis ve ilçelerinin sosyoekonomik anlamda gelişimine katkı sağlayacaktır. Bitlis ili ve ilçelerine ait geleneksel el sanatlarının kültür turizmi bağlamında değerlendirilmesinin yapıldığı bu çalışmada; bir taraftan yörenin el sanatlarının tanıtımı, korunması, gelecek nesillere aktarılması ve Bitlis yöresinin gelişimine katkı sunulması hedeflenirken, diğer taraftan da kültür turizmi kapsamında yapılacak olan bilimsel çalışmalara katkı sağlanması amaçlanmaktadır.

Traditional Turkish handicrafts, which take their roots from thousands of years of Anatolian culture by means of great effort and work, are values that reflect the joys, sorrows, artistic tastes and diversity of the local people. On the other hand, tourism is a tool that can make great differences in introducing these unique values to future generations and the world. Cultural tourism has an important share in the economic development of a country. In this context, it is of great importance to protect traditional Turkish handicrafts and pass them down. Bitlis province and its districts have a long history. Cultural assets are common here and handicrafts have an important place among them. The production of traditional handicrafts of Bitlis and its surroundings and the existence of people dealing with these handicrafts is an important situation in terms of carrying this cultural heritage to future generations and cultural tourism. In addition to this, supporting traditional handicrafts within the framework of tourism marketing will also contribute to the socioeconomic development of Bitlis and its districts. In this study, in which traditional handicrafts of Bitlis province and its districts are evaluated in the context of cultural tourism; On the one hand, it is aimed to promote the handicrafts of the region, protect them, transfer them to future generations and contribute to the development of Bitlis region, as well as contributing to the scientific studies to be carried out within the scope of cultural tourism
