An Investigation on the Suitability of Bitlish Folk Tales for Children and Its Contribution To Values Education

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı Bitlis halk masallarının çocuğa uygunluğunu ve değerler eğitimine katkısını belirlemektir. Bu amaç çerçevesinde çalışmada 'nitel' araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın verilerini toplamak için nitel araştırma desenlerinden 'doküman taraması' yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın materyalini 60 adet Bitlis masalı oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak 'Masalların Çocuğa Uygunluğunu İnceleme Formu' ve 'Değer İnceleme Formu' kullanılmıştır. Bu formlar araştırmacı tarafından uzman görüşü alınarak hazırlanmıştır. Veri toplama araçlarıyla toplanan verilerin analizinde nitel analiz tekniklerinden 'betimsel analiz' yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda şu sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır: Bitlis masalları, konu, ana karakterler, olay örgüsü, mekân, zaman, öğretim ilkelerine uygunluk, düz anlatım, cümle özellikleri, kıssadan hisse çıkarma, mutlu son bakımlarından başarılı bulunmuş; tekerlemeler, doğru ve etkili anlatım, söz varlığı, imla ve noktalama, tasvirler, estetik ve dua bakımlarından ise yetersiz bulunmuştur. Değerler eğitimi bakımından Bitlis masallarının zengin içeriğe sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. Masallarda en yoğun işlenen değerler; İnanç değeri (f=231), Yardımlaşma değeri (f=95), Problem çözme değeri (f=92), Dürüstlük değeri ( f=81), Sevgi değeri (f=68), Saygı değeri (f=65), Sağlık değeri (f=53), Arkadaşlık değeri (f=49), Aile değeri (f=49), Çalışkanlık değeri (f=46), Sorumluluk değeri (f=45), Cesaret değeri (f=41), Estetik değeri (f=41) Adalet değeri (f=36), Öz denetim değeri (f=21) olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Masallarda en az işlenen değerlerin ise Bilimsellik değeri (f=2), Nezaket değeri (f=7), Vatanseverlik değeri (f=9), Sabır değeri ((f=16) olduğu belirlenmiştir. The aim of this study is to determine the appropriateness of Bitlis folk tales to children and their contribution to values education. For this purpose, 'qualitative' research method was used in the study. 'Document scanning', one of the qualitative research designs, was used to collect the data of the study. The material of the study consists of 60 Bitlis tales. In the study, 'The Appropriateness of Tales to Children Form' and 'Value Analysis Form' were used as data collection tools. These forms were prepared by the researcher by taking expert opinion. Descriptive analysis, one of the qualitative analysis techniques, was used in the analysis of the data collected by data collection tools. At the end of the study, the following conclusions were reached: Bitlis tales were found successful in terms of subject, main characters, plot, place, time, compliance with teaching principles, direct expression, sentence features, making a share from the story, happy ending; rhymes, correct and effective expression, vocabulary, spelling and punctuation, descriptions, aesthetics and prayer were found to be insufficient. It has been determined that Bitlis tales have rich content in terms of values education. The most intensely process edvalues in fairy tales; Faith value (f = 231), Helping value (f = 95), Problem solving value (f = 92), Honesty value (f = 81), Love value (f = 68), Respect value (f = 65), Health Value (f = 53), Friendship value (f = 49), Family value (f = 49), Diligence value (f = 46), Responsibility value (f = 45), Courage value (f = 41), Aesthetic value( f = 41) It is concluded that it has a fairness value (f=36) and a self-control value (f = 21). It was determined that the least processed values in fairy tales were Scientific value (f = 2), Courtesy value (f = 7), Patriotic value (f = 9), Patience value ((f = 16).
