The Teachers -Who Work at Primary and Secondary School- Viewes Towards the School Safety
Abstract
Bu araĢtırmanın genel amacı Van ili merkezinde 2013–2014 eğitim-öğretim yılında ilköğretim kademesinde görev yapmakta olan öğretmenlerin okul güvenliğine yönelik görüĢlerinde hareketle güvenlik algılarını belirlemektir. Erkek ilköğretim öğretmenlerinin kadın ilköğretim öğretmenlerine nazaran okulların güvenli olduğu düĢüncesine daha yüksek düzeyde katıldıkları görülmektedir. Öğretmenlerin eğitim düzeyi arttıkça, Okulda Fiziksel Ortam / Fiziksel Çevre Güvenliği algılarının anlamlı düzeyde azaldığı saptanmıĢtır. Okul güvenliği genel puanı branĢ öğretmenlerinin lehine farklılaĢmaktadır. Okulda Fiziksel/ Bedensel Güvenlik ve Okulda Fiziksel Ortam / Fiziksel Çevre Güvenliği alt boyutlarının yaĢla beraber artıĢ gösterdiği fakat Okulda Toplumsal Güvenlik alt boyutunun azaldığı dikkat çekmiĢtir. Okulda fiziksel/bedensel güvenlik değerlendirmesinin mesleki kıdem ile artan bir ortalamaya sahip oldukları fark edilmiĢtir. Bu konuya yönelik oldukça az çalıĢma olduğundan ilgili çalıĢmalar arttırılmalıdır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Okul güvenliği, güvenli okul, ilköğretim öğretmenleri
The general purpose of this research is to determine the security perception through the primary school teachers'-who work at the centre of Van province in 2013-2014 educational year- opinions against the school safety. It is seen that compared to female primary school teachers, male primary school teachers attend the idea that schools are safe in higher level.It has been detected that as the teachers' level of education increased, their School Physical Environment / Physical Environmental Safety perceptions were significantly decreased. General score of school safety is differentiated in favor of branch teachers.It has been pointed out that Physical / Physical Security and Physical Environment in School / Physical Environmental Safety subdimensions are increased with age but Social Security in school is decreased.It has been realized that physical / bodily safety assessment has a increasing average with the professional seniority. As there are quite a few studies about this subject related studies should be increased. Keywords: School safety, safe school, primary and secondary school teachers
