Investigations Product of Idempotents in Regular Rings

Abstract

ÖZET Bu çalışma üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, çalışmamıza kaynak oluşturan genel tanımlar ve özelikler; ikinci bölümde yine çalışmamıza kaynak oluşturan (von Neumann) regüler, sağ self-injektif halkalar, halka tipleri ve boyut fonksiyonlarıyla ilgili tanımlar, önermeler ve teoremler detaya girilmeden verilmiştir. Üçüncü bölüm dört kesimden oluşmaktadır. İlk kesimde idempotent matrislerin çarpımlarının bir kısa özeti verilmiştir. İkinci kesimde bu idempotent matrislerin çarpım sonuçlarının bir genişlemesi olarak, regüler (von Neumann) halkalarda idempotentlerin çarpımları incelenmiştir. Üçüncü ve dördüncü kesimde sırasıyla ünit-regüler halkalar ve sağ self-injektif halkalarda idempotent çarpımlarının bir karakterizasyonu verilmiştir.

II SUMMARY This work consists of three chapters. In the first and the second chapters, the general definitions properties, propositions and theorems related to regular (von Neumann), right self- injektive rings, ring types and dimension functions, both of which constitutes the origin of our work, are given vithout going into details. The third chapter consists of four sections. In the first section, a brief study of products of idempotent matrices is performed. In the second section, products of idempotents are searched in regular rings as extensions of results of products of idempotent matrices. In the third and fourth sections, a characterization of products of idempotents are given in unit-regular rings and right self-injektive rings.
