Transcription and Evaluati̇on of Tereke Records in the Registry of Shari̇ah Numbered 188

Abstract

Osmanlı sosyo-ekonomi tarihi için önemli kaynaklardan yer alan tereke defterleri yerel özelliklere ait pek çok bilgiyi barındırması nedeniyle önemli kaynaklardandır. Çalıştığımız tereke kaydı Şer'iyye sicili içerisinde yer almaktadır. Bu çalışmada Denizliye ait 1892-1896 yılarını kapsayan Şer'iyye sicilinin içerisinde yer alan terekelerden 96 tane terekenin transkripsiyon ve değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır . Çalışmamızın giriş kısmında bu konu üzerinde yapılan çalışmalarla ilgili literatürdeki önemli kaynaklara değindik.Denizli'nin coğrafi konumu ve tarihçesinden sonra terekeler hakkında bilgi verip terekelerin neleri kapsadığını , İslam miras hukunundan yola çıkarak terekelerin nasıl dağıtılacağı ve bunun dağıtım aşamasına kadar gelen süreçler hakkında bilgi verdik .Çalıştığımız defter hakkında bilgi verip son kısımda ise terekelerde bulduğumuz eşyaların değerlendirmesini ve bunların Denizli'ye ait yerel yaşam tarzındaki önemini, sosyo-ekonomik hayatın izlerini bulmaya çalışıldı.

Heritage books(records) which are important sources for Ottoman social economic history are very important sources since they contain a lot of information about locality. The heritage record that we work on is involved in Track Record. In this study 96 heritages' transcription and assesment has been done which are among the heritages involved in the Track Record belonging to Denizli between 1892-1896. In the introduction we referred to the important sources in the literature which are about studies on this topic. After Denizli's geographical location and history, upon informing about heritages, we informed about what heritages cover, how heritages are distributed/shared referring to Islamic laws and the processes until heritage distribution. After giving information about the book that we study, in the last process we made an assessment of the products that we found in the heritages and we tried to find out these heritages' importance on the local lifestyle belonging to Denizli and also tried to find out the traces of social economic life.
