A Critique of İbrahim Gülşeni’s Manevi by Lali Mehmed Fenai

Abstract

Türk Tasavvuf Edebiyatında çok mühim bir yere sahip olan Gülşeniyye tarikatı kurucu İbrâhîm Gülşenî, tarikatı ve yetiştirdiği müridler dışında, Mevlânâ'nın Mesnevî'sine nazire olarak yazdığı kırk bin beyitlik Ma'nevî isimli mesnevisiyle tanınır. İbrâhîm Gülşenî'nin Farsça yazdığı bu mesnevinin ilk beş yüz altmış iki beytini şerh eden La'lî Mehmed Fenâî, İbrâhîm Gülşenî'nin halifesi olup, bu şerhinde gerek teknik gerekse de içerik açısından klasik şerh metodunun özelliklerini göstermiştir. Ibrahim Gülşeni, the founder of the Gülşeniyye sufi tariqah, who has a very important place in the Turkish Sufi Literature, is known for his fourty thousand couplet ouvre, know as Ma?nevi, which is compared to Mevlana?s Mesnevi. A caliph of Gülşeni, La?li Mehmed Fenai, who critiqued five hundred sixty two couplets of his ouvre, which is written in Persian, displays feutures of both technic and content of the classical critisism method in this critique.
