Analysis of Nose Shape With Geometric Morpometric Method in Terms of Rhinoplasty and Reconstruction 'van Example'

Abstract

İnsan anatomisinin en önemli bölgesini oluşturan yüz, yapısı ile tarih boyunca farklı alanlarda merak konusu olmuştur. Burun da bu yapılardan biri olarak önemli bir yer edinmiştir. Burnun şekli etnik köken, biyolojik çeşitlilik, yaş ve cinsiyet noktalarında önemli bir etkendir. Bununla birlikte coğrafi şartların da burun yapısı ve işlevlerin etkisine olan merak, çalışmaya ilgi duyulmasındaki önemli sebeplerdendir. Çalışmaya Van ilinde bulunan, bu yöre toplumundaki genç erişkin (18-30 yaş) bireyler dâhil edilmiştir. Çalışmada elde edilen veriler fotoğraflar üzerinden indirekt ölçümler ile yapılmıştır. Yapılan araştırma sonucunda temel bileşen analizi ve indirekt ölçümler ile cinsiyetler arası fark görülmezken, Van toplumunun burun yapısının rekonstrüksiyon ve rinoplasti açısından Orta Doğu ve Asya kökenli toplumlar arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı, buna karşın Avrupa ve Hispanik kökenli toplumlar arasında bazı ölçümler yönünde anlamlı farklıkların olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Geometrik Morfometri yönetimiyle noktalar (Landmark) belirlenmiş ve analiz edilmiş olup, bunun sonucunda ortaya çıkan bulgular benzer çalışmalar ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Bu çalışmada insan yüzünün doğal görüntüsünde önemli rol oynayan burnun morfometrik özellikleri ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. Ortaya konan bu verilerin etnik köken, biyolojik çeşitlilik bakımından sağlıklı bilgiler vereceğini, bu bilgilerin özellikle plastik cerrahi alanında faydalı olacağı düşünülmektedir.

The face, which is the most important part of human anatomy, has been a subject of curiosity in different fields throughout history with its structure. It has an important place in the nose as one of these structures. The shape of the nose is an important factor in ethnic origin, biology, diversity, age and gender. However, the curiosity of the nose structure and functions in its geographical conditions are also important reasons for the interest in the study. Young adult (18-30 years old) individuals living in Van province and living in this local community were included in the study. As raa result of the research, it was observed that there was no difference between genders with principal component analysis and indirect measurements, while the nasal structure of Van society was not a significant difference between Eastern societies, whereas there were significant differences among western societies in some measurements. The data to be obtained in the study were made by photographing, not directly with measuring instruments. Points (Landmarks) were determined and analyzed with the method of Geometric Morphometry, and the findings with similar studies. In this study, the morphometric features of the nose, which play an important role in the natural and harmonious appearance of the human face, are tried to be revealed. It is believed that these data will provide healthy information in terms of ethnic origin and biological diversity, and this information will be particularly useful in the field of plastic surgery.
