The Activities of British Separation of Kurds From the Ottoman Empire in the First World War

Abstract

İngiltere'nin Osmanlı Devleti bünyesinde bulunan Kürtlere yönelik uygulamış olduğu faaliyetler bu devletin emperyalist politikasının bir sonucudur. İngiltere'nin Ortadoğu ve Mezopotamya ile ilgili hedefleri bu faaliyetlerin oluşmasına neden olmuştur. Bundan dolayı Birinci Dünya Savaşı'nı bir fırsat olarak değerlendirip harekete geçen İngiltere, Doğu ve Güneydoğu Anadolu ile Kuzey Irak'taki Kürtleri Osmanlı Devleti'nden ayrıma girişimlerinde bulunmuştur. Güçlü bir Türk yönetiminin Mezopotamya'da bulunmasını kendisi açısından tehlikeli gören İngiltere, bu durumu ortadan kaldırmak için özellikle Kürtleri, para, değerli eşya, Kürt Devleti gibi vaatlerle kandırmaya ve Osmanlı Devleti'nden ayırıp kendi tarafına çekmeye çalışmıştır. Bu amaçla hem sivil hem de askerî ajanlarını bölgeye göndermiştir. Bu ajanlardan özellikle Binbaşı Noel yaptığı geziler ve faaliyetlerle ön plana çıkmıştır. The activities of Britain towards the Kurds within the Ottoman Empire are the result of this state's imperialist policy. The UK's objectives related to the Middle East and Mesopotamia have led to these activities.Therefore, England, which saw the First World War as an opportunity and acted as an opportunity, attempted to separate the Kurds from Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia and Northern Iraq from the Ottoman Empire. England, which sees a powerful Turkish administration in Mesopotamia to be dangerous for itself, tried to deceive the Kurds with the promises of money, valuable goods and Kurdish State and to pull them away from the Ottoman Empire in order to eliminate this situation.For this purpose, both civilian and military agents were sent to the region. Major Noel, especially from these agents, came to the forefront with his trips and activities. The negative results of each method they tried left their attempts to be fruitless.
