Makki B. Abi Talib and the Place of His Work Titled Al-Tabsira Fi Al-Qiraati Al-sab' in the Science of Qiraat

Abstract

Mekkî b. Ebî Tâlib (ö. 437/1045), on üç yaşındayken çıktığı ilmî seyahatler vesilesiyle birçok hocadan dersler almış ve kıraat alanındaki farklılıkların neredeyse tamamını kendi şahsında toplamıştır. Mekkî'nin et-Tebsıra fi'l-kıraati's-seb' isimli kitabı, yedi kıraat imamını ele alan en önemli eserlerden biridir. Mekkî, eserinde senetleri hazfetmiş, şâz olan rivayetleri azaltmış ve tekrarlara düşmemeye çalışmıştır. Kendisinden önce kaleme alınan kitaplarda dağınık olarak yer alan meşhur kıraat usûllerini kitabında toplamış ve öğrencilerin anlayabileceği bir şekilde kısaltmıştır. Eserinde hocalarından İbn Galbûn'un (ö. 289/999) kıraat sistemini benimsemiştir. et-Tebsıra, klasik eserler arasında önemli bir yere sahip olduğundan, sonraki kıraat çalışmalarına da kaynaklık etmiştir. Eser, yedi kıraat sistemiyle bütünleşmiş ve kıraat talim geleneğinin derinliklerine inerek yedi kıraat imamının özgün yaklaşımlarını ve vücûhatlarını usûl ve ferş yönüyle ele almıştır. Tezimiz giriş ve iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Girişte araştırmanın konusu, amacı, önemi ve literatür hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. İlk bölümde müellifin hayatı, hocaları, eserleri gibi konular ele alınmıştır. İkinci bölümde Mekkî b. Ebî Tâlib'in, kısa ve özlü üslûbu ile özverili çabasının oluşturduğu et-Tebsıra fi'l-kıraati's-seb' adlı eseri titizlikle analiz edilip incelenmiştir. Eserdeki yedi kıraatin teorik ve pratik yönleri örneklerle desteklenmiş ve okuyucunun anlamasının sağlanması amaçlanmıştır. Eserin yöntemi, kıraat ilmindeki yeri, usûllerle ilgili ihtilâflar incelenmiş olup, ferş bölümünde kıraat farklılıklarının mânaya olan etkisi ve sûrelerde yer alan farklı okumalara da değinilmiştir.

Makki b. Abi Talib (d. 437/1045) learned from many teachers during his scholarly travels at the age of thirteen and collected almost all of the differences in the field of qiraat in his own person. Makki's al-Tabsıra fi al-qiraati al-sab' is one of the most important works dealing with the seven imams of qiraat. In his work, Makki has eliminated the scripts, reduced the number of shaz narrations, and tried not to fall into repetition. He collected the famous methods of qiraat that were scattered in the books written before him and shortened them in a way that students could understand. In his work, he adopted the qiraat system of Ibn Galbun (d. 289/999), one of his teachers. As al-Tabsıra has an important place among the classical works, it also served as a source for later studies on qiraat. The work is integrated with the seven qiraat system by going deeper into the tradition of qiraat instruction and deals with the unique approaches and wujūhs of the seven qiraat imams in terms of usul and waḥsh. Our thesis consists of an introduction and two chapters. The introduction provides information about the subject, purpose, importance and literature. The first chapter deals with the author's life, his teachers, and his works. In the second part, Makki's al-Tabsıra fi al-qiraati al-sab', which is composed of his succinct and concise style and his devoted efforts, has been meticulously analyzed and examined. The theoretical and practical aspects of the seven qiraat in the work are supported by examples and it is aimed to ensure the reader's understanding. The method of the work, its place in the science of qiraat, and the disputes regarding the methods have been examined, and in the fersh section, the effect of recitation differences on the meaning and the different readings in the suras are also mentioned.
