Abstract

ÖZET İLKÖĞRETİM MATEMATİK ÖĞRETİMİNDE MATERYAL DESTEKLİ ÖĞRETİM YÖNTEMİNİN ÖĞRENCİ BAŞARISINA ETKİSİ ÜZERİNE İSTATİSTİKSEL BİR ANALİZ ÇATAL, Mahfuz Yüksek Lisans Tezi, İstatistik Anabilim Dalı Tez Danışmanı: Dr. Öğr. Üyesi Yener ALTUN Şubat 2020, 73 sayfa. Matematik öğretiminde matematik derslerinin kendine has soyut yapısı bu dersin anlaşılmasında güçlüklere neden olmaktadır. Bu bağlamda matematik öğretiminin konuya uygun materyallerle somutlaştırılarak desteklenmesi, zengin öğrenme yaşantılarının sağlanması son derece önemlidir. Bu tez çalışmasında, ilköğretim matematik öğretiminde materyal destekli öğretimin öğrenci başarısına olan etkisi analiz edilecektir. İlköğretim matematik konularının öğretiminde materyal destekli öğretimin öğrenci başarısına etkisini amaçlayan bu çalışma beş bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde araştırmanın problemi, önemi, amacı, varsayımları, sınırlılıkları verilmiş ve literatür taraması yapılmıştır. İkinci bölümde, matematik eğitimi ve öğretimi ile ilgili bilgiler yer almaktadır. Üçüncü bölümde araştırmada kullanılan yöntem ile ilgili bilgiler ele alınmaktadır. Dördüncü bölümde Van ilindeki merkezi bir ilköğretim okulunda uygulanan testler ile elde edilen bulgulara ve bulguların yorumlanmasına yer verilmektedir. ABSTRACT A STATISTICAL ANALYSIS ON THE EFFECT TO STUDENT SUCCESS OF MATERIAL SUPPORTED TEACHING METHOD IN ELEMENTARY MATHEMATICS TEACHING ÇATAL, Mahfuz MSc Thesis, Statistic Supervisor: Asst. Prof. Dr. Yener ALTUN February 2020, 73 pages. The unique abstract structure of mathematics lessons in mathematics teaching causes difficulties in understanding this lesson. In this context, it is extremely important to support mathematics education by concretizing it with materials suitable for the subject and providing rich learning experiences. In this thesis, the effect of material supported teaching in elementary mathematics teaching on student achievement will be analyzed. This study, which aims at the effect of material-supported instruction on student achievement in teaching mathematics subjects in primary education, consists of five sections. In the first section, the problem, importance, purpose, assumptions and limitations of the research are given and a literature review is made. In the second section, there is information about mathematics education and teaching. In the third section, information about the method used in the research is discussed. In the fourth section, the findings obtained through the tests applied in a central primary school in Van and the interpretations of the findings are given.
