A Story for Each Day' by Tarık Demirkan in Terms of Value Teaching in Turkish Education

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı Tarık Demirkan'ın Her Güne Bir Masal isimli eserinin değerler eğitimine katkısını incelemektir. Çalışma 'nitel araştırma yöntemi 'ne uygun olarak yapılmıştır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden 'doküman incelemesi' kullanılmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen 'Değer İnceleme Formu' kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın materyalini Her Güne Bir Masal eserinde yer alan 365 masal metni oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin analizinde niteliz analiz tekniklerinden betimsel analiz kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda değer inceleme formunda yer alan ve kök değerleri de kapsayan 20 ana değerin incelenen masal metinlerinde farklı frekanslarla işlendiği belirlenmiştir. Masal metinlerinde işlenen değerler ve işlenme sıklıkları ve 365 masal içindeki oranları şu şekildedir: Yardımlaşma f=341 (341:365=0,93), Öz denetim f=183 (183:365=0,51), Dostluk 158 (158:365=0,43), Liderlik f=146 (146:365=0,4), Cesaret f=142 (142:365=0,38), Aile f=132 (132:365=0,36), Dürüstlük f=121 (121:365=0,33), Sevgi f=110 (110:365=0,30), Çalışkanlık f=85 (85:365=0,23) , Bilimsellik f=84 (84:365=0,23), Sabır f=67(67:365=0,18), İnanç f=66 (66:365=0,18), Nezaket f=61 (61:365=0,16), Saygı f=60 (60:365=0,16), Vatanseverlik f=54 (54:365=0,14), Adalet f=51 (51:365=0,13), Sorumluluk Alma f=49 (49:365=0,13), Misafirperverlik f=36 (36:365=0,09), Estetik f=33 (33:365=0,09), Sağlık f=23 (23:365=0,06). Değer çeşitliliği bakımından Her Güne Bir Masal eseri zengin bulunmuştur. The aim of this study is to examine the contribution of Tarık Demirkan's work titled A Fairy Tale Every Day to the education of values. The study was conducted in accordance with the 'qualitative research method'. 'Document analysis', one of the qualitative research designs, was used in the study. The 'Value Analysis Form' developed by the researcher was used in collecting the data. The material of the study consists of 365 fairy tale texts in A Fairy Tale Every Day. Descriptive analysis, one of the qualitative analysis techniques, was used in the analysis of the data. At the end of the study, it was determined that 20 main values included in the value analysis form and including root values were processed with different frequencies in the analyzed fairy tale texts. The values and frequency of processing in fairy tale texts and their rates within 365 fairy tales are as follows: Cooperation f = 341 (341: 365 = 0.93), Self-control f = 183 (183: 365 = 0.51), Friendship 158 (158: 365 = 0.43), Leadership f = 146 (146: 365 = 0.4), Courage f = 142 (142: 365 = 0.38), Family f = 132 (132: 365 = 0.36), Honesty f = 121 (121: 365 = 0.33), Love f = 110 (110: 365 = 0.30), Diligence f = 85 (85: 365 = 0.23), Science f = 84 (84: 365 = 0 , 23), Patience f = 67 (67: 365 = 0.18), Faith f = 66 (66: 365 = 0.18), Kindness f = 61 (61: 365 = 0.16), Respect f = 60 (60: 365 = 0.16), Patriotism f = 54 (54: 365 = 0.14), Justice f = 51 (51: 365 = 0.13), Taking Responsibility f = 49 (49: 365 = 0, 13), Hospitality f = 36 (36: 365 = 0.09), Aesthetics f = 33 (33: 365 = 0.09), Health f = 23 (23: 365 = 0.06). A Fairy Tale for Every Day was found rich in terms of value diversity. However, it can be said that the frequency of processing values included in fairy tales is partially insufficient compared to Turkish fairy tales.
