Change and Motion on Plato and Aristoteles

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı Platon ve Aristoteles'in felsefesinde değişme ve hareketin yerini belirlemektir. Birinci bölümde Platon öncesi Antik Yunan düşüncesinde değişme ve hareket anlayışına değinilecektir. Bu bölümde, mitolojik ozanlar Homeros, Hesiodos ve mitoslardan başlayarak, Thales, Anaksimandros, Anaksimenes, Herakleitos ve Parmenides'in değişme ve hareket üzerine görüşleri onların felsefi görüşlerinden hareket ile analiz edilmiştir. Bu noktada karşımıza Platon öncesi filozoflar tarafından değişim ve hareketin ilkesi olarak kullanılan arkhe kavramı çıkmaktadır. Bu kabul Aristoteles'in değişme ve hareket üzerine geçen analizlerinde töz kavramı ile yakından ilişkilidir. İkinci bölümde, Platon'un felsefesindeki değişme ve hareket üzerine görüşleri ayrıntılı olarak irdelenmiştir. İlk olarak, Platon'un iki evren anlayışı değişme ve hareket bağlamında irdelendikten sonra değişme ve hareketin yakından ilişkili olduğu madde, zaman, yer, boşluk ve ruh kavramları açısından Platon'un görüşleri serimlenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise Aristoteles'in değişme ve hareket üzerine kabulleri madde, form, töz, olanak, etkinlik, dayanak madde, zaman, boşluk, yer ve ruh kavramları açısından analiz edilmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde ise bütün bu kavramlar üzerinden bir Aristoteles Platon karşılaştırılması yapılarak benzer farklı felsefi görüşler değişme ve hareket ekseninde süzgeçten geçirilerek analiz edilmiştir.

The aim of this study is to determine the place of change and motion in the philosophy of Plato and Aristotle. In the first part, the understanding of change and motion in Ancient Greek thought before Plato was discussed. In this section, starting from the mythological poets Homer, Hesiodos and myths, Thales, Anaksimandros, Anaksimenes, Herakleitos and Parmenides' views on change and motion were analyzed based on their philosophical views. At this point, we come across the concept of arkhe, which was used by pre-Platonic philosophers as the principle of change and motion. This acceptance is closely related to the concept of matter in Aristotle's analysis on change and motion. In the second part, Plato's views on change and motion in his philosophy were examined in detail. Firstly, Plato's understanding of two universes was examined in the context of change and motion, and then Plato's views were presented in terms of the concepts of matter, time, place, space, and spirit, which were closely related to change and motion. In the third part, Aristotle's assumptions on change and motion were analyzed in terms of the concepts of matter, form, matter, possibility, activity, underlying matter, time, space, place, and spirit. In the fourth chapter, a comparison of Aristotle and Plato over all these concepts was made and similar different philosophical views were analyzed by filtering on the axis of change and motion.
