Macrofungi of Batman Province

Abstract

This study was carried out on macrofungi collected from Batman province in between 2002-2004 years. During field investigations, photos of the macrofungi taxa were taken from their natural habitats. The knowledge of local people about macrofungi and ecological features were recorded. The microscopic data were provided from laboratory studies. According to macroscopic and microscopic investigations, 50 macrofungi taxa were identified belonging to 21 families in Ascomycetes and Basiomycetes classis. So the number of macrofungi taxa in Batman was reached to 76. Especially 3 taxa were added to macrofungi flora of Turkey for the first time in this study. These are; Amanita vittadinii, Dichomitus campestris and Mycena epipterygia var. splendidipes.
