The Effect of Schools and Teachers on Student's Achi̇evement
Abstract
Research that was made by Coleman (1966) and Jencks (1972) caused a pessimistic climate in education world. Because they resulted that family, not schools and teachers, is prominent factor in school achievement. In following years, it was made a lot of research in order to show that schools and teachers can make a difference. In this study, it is resulted that schools and teachers are important and can make a difference.
