Abstract
An experiment was carried out during 2004 - 05 to study the effect of different doses of phosphorus (10, 40 and 80 kg/ha) and sulphur application (0, 40, 80 and 120 kg/ha) on yield and quality of dry bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.). The trial was conducted in factorial randomized complete block design with 3 replications. The highest grain yield was recorded with 80 kg/ha P and 120 kg/ha S applications, being 1.530 tonnes/ha in the 2004 and 1.606 tonnes/ha in 2005. The highest phosphorus content (0.29 % in 2004 and 0.30 % in 2005) in grain was observed when 80 kg/ha P and 120 kg/ ha S were applied.
