dc.description.abstract The assertion that emphasises the already formed itself rather than the materials formed by hand, transforming a technical product into a work of art, begins with avant-garde art. Elevating material reality into an artistic context opens new possibilities and interpretations, notably exemplified by Tony Cragg's sculptures. This study highlights Cragg's sculptural practice through his deliberate choice of industrial products, particularly analysing his innovative stacking and surface-coating techniques. Through qualitative research and document analysis of relevant publications and exhibitions, selected sculptures were analysed to reveal their iconographic and materialbased characteristics. Findings indicate that Tony Cragg's artworks fundamentally embody "materiality," leading to their identification as "material sculptures". Cragg's meticulous selection and transformative handling of materials challenge traditional perceptions of form and substance effectively redefining the artistic potentials of industrial and synthetic materials. Ultimately, the research underscores that Cragg's sculptures foster a dynamic interplay between material and meaning, creating profound visual and conceptual experiences. en_US
