The Effect of Nepotism on Organizational Silence and Mediating Role of Self Efficacy: a Research on Hospital Employees

| dc.description.abstract | The main purpose of this study is to examine the role of self-efficacy of the employees on their nepotism perception on organizational silence. For this purpose, this study contributes to the conceptual frameworks of nepotism, organizational silence and self-efficacy by considering these variables and examining the mediating role of self-efficacy. In this study, by using questionnaire technique, data were collected from 313 employees of two private hospitals in Van province and after the analysis, it was determined that employees nepotism perceptions and self-efficacy affect organizational silence behaviors by performing hierarchical regression analysis with correlation analysis. It has been identified that nepotism perception of employees cause an increase on their organizational silence behaviors such as concession, being protectionist and conservator. On the other hand, it has been found that self-efficacy of employees cause a decrease on their organizational silence behaviors such as concession, being protectionist and conservator. Besides these, it has been obtained that self-efficacy of employees has a mediating role in shaping the relation between nepotism and organizational silence. | en_US |
